Convenient and like the size of the space

There's parking in the garage beneath the property that's easy to access. The sky lounge on the roof has great views, especially at night. There are comfortable lounge spaces throughout the hotel. The downtown area is easy to walk, bike, or grab a rideshare and not far from many sights.

Clean room helpful staff and nice property. Close to a lot of hot spots in DC

My booking was for a fully furnished apartment, although I only stayed one night. Everything seemed to be in excellent condition. The unit was very comfortable and was scrupulously clean. There are perks for visitors in the public areas of the hotel, with a nice garden atrium for sitting in, a gym and a rooftop deck. There is a washer/dryer and full kitchen in the unit. The location is very convenient to central Washington DC, near restaurants and the subway system. I have a couple of minor complaints: the door to the unit is unlocked via a fob touched to an electronic lock on the door, but there's also a knob that needs to be turned and I had to have a staff member explain/show me how it worked, and it was still a bit wonky. Also, I was supposed to be able to log into wifi with a code for my room number, but my room number didn't show up in the wifi list. I used my 5G which was fine, but that was still confusing (I didn't ask the staff about it, although I'm sure they would have been helpful in getting connected). Overall, I think it was good value for money, especially considering it was a full apartment space.

The rooms and amenities spaces are beautiful. Very nice finishes and everything you need in the rooms. The coworking space is very spacious and the rooftop lounge and deck is very pleasant. My only complaint was that the doors across the property bang close loudly and the ceilings are thin and so you hear everything above/below you. This is annoying but manageable during the day but I found myself waking up dozens of times in the night in our first room (205) which was directly over reception which was manned 24 hours. After two nights of this they moved us to another room where we heard less but still some banging (presumably as our neighbors weren’t as active as the front desk in the middle of the night). I’ve lived in apartments my entire adult life and this was the loudest regular banging noise I’ve encountered. It’s a perfect location and hotel otherwise. It’d be fine if you’re a really heavy sleeper or bring earplugs.

This is the best place to stay in D.C.! I have been coming to Washington, D.C every year for over 23 years, and I have stayed in fine hotels and independent lodgings, but The Roost White House is now my favorite. All the staff is wonderful and kind (Jackelin is really great and went out of her way to fix our reservations). The apartment was much larger than I thought it would be. The architectural style and the interior design are tasteful and of high quality both inside and outside. The public spaces are relaxing and very comfortable, with a great view from the roof. The Roost has everything you need to enjoy your stay, including bikes and parking. It is your home away from home. Did I mention the location? Location, location! Everything is a short ride or walk away. Some of the best Restaurants are nearby, and shopping is not far. Come and relax in comfort and style in D.C. at the Roost!

Loved our stay here, extremely convenient for families. If you plan to cook, kitchen was provided with most necessities and whatever we missed was cheap and easy to purchase while shopping for produce (plastic mixing bowl, cutting board, and sturdy aluminum sheets to make fries in the oven - all easily purchased at Walmart for 5.00 total). Spacious refrigerator and freezer, lots of counter space, place to eat. Spacious and well stocked bathrooms. The only item I wish we had was a vacuum cleaner, however we stayed here for 9 days and most people probably stay for shorter periods and would not dream of vacuuming during their stay. All in all, a great stay and will return for family stays. Also would definitely consider staying here for business trips to the area. This is a great option!

Really nice apartment hotel, high end, large space, great location, and helpful staff.
-
Great location and very cool rooftop view of the city. The reason only 4 stars is because on our second night there was a banging that lasted all through the night. No idea what it was. It stopped around 9:00am the next morning.

Walkable to the WA monument We highly recommend eating at The Old Ebbitt Grill a few blocks away. Just ask for a room not close to the Ioading dock. It was a bit noisy in the early hours. The staff offered us to move but since we only had 1 night to go it was fine. We were sightseeing anyway. We would stay again!

We returned later soaking wet from a downpour. Employees in the lobby would not answer the door. Nobody answered the intercom call. When we finally got our room (different room than was originally going to be given to us, was courtyard facing. They had no more city facing rooms. The courtyard would actually have been nice except the door to the balcony was locked. Treat your trip as if it's an Air B&B and you'll probably like your stay.

Clean, safe stay.

Roost was amazing. Very big room with great facilities and right next to the White House. Best place we have stayed in the US. Loved it.

The staff were very accommodating and helpful.

Outstanding stay and close to everything. Room is fantastic and staff was helpful. However, please know that there is NOT a swimming pool as the on-line photo leads you to believe. It is a reflecting pool that you can get wet in but that is about all. Would definitely recommend this location to anyone.

Meticulously clean, staff very helpful and courteous. Would stay here!

Excellent location top of the line property. Ample, impeccable, well stocked with top level appliances and kitchen utensils. 5 star stay. Walking distance to The Old Ebbit, the best restaurant in DC. We loved it.

This is not a hotel. It's someone's apartment. This could have been clearer. Also my credit card was charged before I arrived which is not aligned with 'pay at property' so now my personal credit card was charged when it should have been my work credit card. Don't stay here if you are travelling for business.

Our stay at the Roost was amazing. The staff was extremely helpful and so nice. Anytime we needed anything it was taken care of. It was so wonderful having a washer and dryer in our room. We were close to so many great restaurants and two Metro stations. I told my husband I was ruined because now I don't want to stay anywhere unless it's like the Roost. Washington DC has the friendliest and most helpful people of anywhere we have ever been.

Great location, 24h reception staff, clean accommodation We checked in on Wednesday and the WiFi stopped working on the Thursday, reported it to reception but were told it would be Monday before it was fixed (we were checking out on the Sunday, we had to suggest a workaround to staff which was tying into the WiFi next door. The safe also failed, locking our cash and passports inside, it took 2 days to get this resolved which was stressful, but the general manager did fix this problem satisfactorily. We were also told we could use the roof terrace, however one evening we went up and there was a birthday party on.. the folk said they had rented the roof space and asked us to leave .. this was embarrassing, there was no indication this could be a possibility
