Big rooms Very clean

The hotel is centrally located and close to the major memorials and sights in DC. The aircon is powerful, a big plus in the hot weather. The shower is also very good. We booked a room with Monument view. Instead, we got the tip of the Monument, just like the lead part of a pencil + a little bit more. The photo is a misrepresentation of the actual view and we can’t help feeling cheated given that we have paid extra for the so called Monument view’ The layout of the room is odd. The desk is at a corner where there is no overhead night or desk lamp. You have to rely on the bedside lights and the 2 lights above the bed if you want to write at the desk. Overall, the room is a bit dark and feels somewhat miserable

This is the second year in a row that we have stayed at this Marriott, and it is our go to place to stay when we visit Washington DC. It is strategically located near all of the important points in DC and the service overall is outstanding. I recommend it highly!

This was a beautiful and clean hotel. Very open and spacious. The elevator system was very efficient and we did not ever have to wait long or ride to floors that we did not need to go to. Very direct access. Parking is not included and is a bit expensive. Great street access from different floor levels and areas. Wonderful breakfast buffet with a fee. Omelet station was fantastic. The fitness center was beautiful and even provided fresh fruit and a very beautiful locker room with shower facilities and a sauna. The staff was very friendly, helpful and caring. The location was fantastic as well, We walked everywhere and loved being near the theater. The Notebook tour musical was wonderful!! Would recommend this hotel to anyone!!!!!

Clean and great location

If you have a wedding anniversary, do not go to the JW MARRIOTT in Washington DC. It started nice I received emails, regarding our stay how can we make your stay enjoyable. So I mentioned it was our 25th wedding anniversary. With a response wonderful, you will receive a bottle of wine, for your special day. I was so impressed. Until we arrived! The front desk rep. Was so cold, no like welcome to the hotel. She was here’s your double bed room??? First of all we are celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary i booked a deluxe king bed room. Her response oh… no congratulations. After she looked at her computer for 5 minutes. Ok we have a deluxe room, again with no apology. To end this terrible stay at the JW Marriott, we never received anything for our special day or some kind of acknowledgment for our 25th wedding anniversary. But, we did enjoy Washington DC.

It’s a splendid property just needs a coffee shop that’s open during the day

Expedia website said there were laundry facilities on site, but actually there was not any. So I had to take a uber and cross the city to get my laundry done. After getting home, I filed a complaint with Expedia and was offered a "generous" $10 compensation for my laundry bill.

The hotel is beautiful, well located, and comfortable. The room was clean and well organized, and the staff provided very good service. I would especially like to mention Diego at the front desk, who was very polite, helpful, and attentive during our stay. We didn't have any problems during our stay. Everything worked well, and the overall experience was very pleasant.

Excellent hotel! The photos on the Expedia website though show a swimming pool which does not exist in reality
