Nice rooms. Bad elevator.

Easy check in, spacious, amenities

Our little apartment was very perfect for our needs. Super clean and up to date. Great water pressure for showering. The kitchen was perfect with fridge, dish washer, cook top, microwave and K-cup coffee maker. Lots of storage so you could unpack and not have to live out of a suitcase. Nice place to hang clothes and lots of drawer space to put everything away. A large medicine cabinet to stow away your toiletries was very nice. There is even under bed cubby storage to get suitcases out of the way for your stay. We loved the thoughtful design that made a small space seem much bigger. The washer/dryer combo was nice. I washed but the dryer was not what I was expecting and I just air dried my clothes. An instruction manual would have possibly helped. I couldn’t get the clothes for sometime as the door locked me out. Staff is warm and very helpful. Gave us fresh towels and more coffee when needed. We will stay here again. The DuPont Circle location is perfectly situated for exploring the Washington DC area. Wonderful!

Friendly staff

Nice well located one bedroom right on Dupont Circle. Excellent location for restaurants, small boutiques, and the like. Subway is located right by the property. The elevator is over 100 years old and can be tenuous at times to use. If you stay there, you must be able to walk the stairs in the event. The elevator gets stuck for is not working. There is a nice area on the second floor where guest can congregate and just relax. Be wary that certain rooms do not have windows or if they do their quite high, we had that problem when we got placed on our first unit on the fourth floor. I am referring to the old building. Avoid staying on the fourth floor. We were then moved to a better accommodation on the third floor. Inez was extraordinarily helpful and we truly appreciated the fact that she expedited the move to the better unit with more windows and a better location. The other benefit was that we had less stairs to walk in the event, the antiquated elevator wasn’t working properly. Next time that I go to Washington DC, I’d likely stay here, but I would request a unit on the third floor or in the new building.

I didn't like the room's starkness. I wish I had asked for a room on a higher level, as we were on the street level and had no privacy unless the shades were down.

Stayed here several times before. It is a gilded era mansion with a modern wing of hotel rooms attached. The modern rooms are good except for the barn door bathroom door, no bedside table on one side of the bed, cheap furnishings and flooring showing wear, but we wanted to stay in one of the rooms in the actual mansion this time, even though I expect they are smaller. They checked us in to a modern room without saying anything and when I asked, they said they had an "availability problem." Ok, they overbooked the mansion rooms, but at least day something and apologize instead of just trying to pull the wool over my eyes. They also said I probably prefer the modern room since the room I booked was in the basement. BASEMENT? Nothing in the description of Deluxe Mansion Suite indicates basement. They have guest rooms on the 3rd and 4th rooms so that's what I was expecting. Staff was rude. The only way to get luggage cart in and out is through a wheelchair lift that requires special instructions. Electronic door code only worked once in many different tries.

Good property in a great location. The sofa in the apartment needs to be replaced. Almost an entire bottle of Febreeze couldn’t get the smell out.
