Very cool historical property, nice that they provide vouchers for the restaurant which was very tasty

Clean hotel and room, helpful staff, very nice restaurant and atmosphere. It doesn't feel like run of the mill hotel. It has a great atmosphere, and I would be happy to stay there on my next visit to Washington DC.

Maybe it’s because I’m from Georgia, but the staff was awkward and standoffish, especially at the restaurant. I felt like whenever I inquired then about something, they would stare at me like I was a moron. And for the three days that we were there, it was quite shocking that it happened every single night. I’m used to Southern Hospitality and immediate friendliness, so having an entire staff treat me and my fiance like complete idiots for asking questions was…something. There also seemed to be a severe lack of communication between staff members, especially with the restaurant. I shouldn’t be told that you’re open at one time by the bar tender and then a hostess tell me something completely different…

Cool unique property Liked it all

Front Desk Representative tried to rush me out of the room rudely initially then offered a higher rate for me to stay an extra night. I didn’t appreciate this encounter.

We enjoyed the breakfast. The location worked well for what we needed. We loved the history of the hotel. The person/people were noisy and stayed up late and got up early.
-
Historic place and delicious food at the restaurant. Unique rooms and artwork all around! Friendly and helpful staff. Because it’s been around since 1922, things are obviously dated and I couldn’t sleep well.

Great location. Quaint. Nice vibe. Well maintained. The room could have been a bit more renovated.

Good it was an ok stay not bad

Didn't expect to have to drag my luggage up two flights of stairs. Very tired decor, though the bathroom was fine, which I appreciated, especially since I had to pay extra just to have a private bath.
-
Nice old fashioned townhouse No tv No elevator I originally was placed on floor four with creaky narrow stairs and heavy suitcase I could not do it at age 80! It has to say no elevator or tv on your description for us older folks! Had to cut through bar and restaurant to get to changed room on second floor above the bar and busy at night Curtains thin abs blinds did not close
-
Bathroom is outside the room Not people with disability friendly as no elevator. However the restaurant food was amazing.
-
The staff were extremely helpful and nice. Everything was vintage, just as described on their website. I had a good night sleep both nights I was there.

Great bar and great staff who served us !

Great hotel. Great location
-
Be aware their are no elevators and this is a historical property. Definitely book a room with a private bath. If you're up to that you'll enjoy the experience. Oh, BTW.... No TVs in the room, either. Who watches TV???

We loved this hotel and would definitely stay here again on a future trip. The space is so unique and fun, the staff is very nice, the room is spacious and comfortable. Very unusually we had both dinner and brunch in the hotel which were both delicious (best donut I ever had).

Fantastic food and beautiful courtyard restaurant. The $10 food vouchers were a nice touch! It was perfect.
