Staff upgraded our room because we had a pet, and the room they gave us was practically a suite for the price on a typical two bedroom. All staff and front desk people were INCREDIBLY helpful, and also let us check our luggage for a few hours on the day of our check out. The food in the restaurant was also elite, and host gave us a coupon that made the entire meal free. The hotel also is very close and in walking distance to pretty much all the famous attractions in DC except the jefferson memorial. Just an awesome stay, and i will be sure to stay here again if I am ever in D.C.

Breakfast and parking was unbelievably expensive

Staff was very very friendly and helpful. They were very accommodating with requests that were made and went out of their way to help. Wish there was a pool but that can’t be changed.

Perfect location! The staff went above and beyond after we had experienced a bad situation at another hotel! I’m so glad I was able to book with Canopy. It completely changed the trip for the better!! Teshale from the restaurant was especially kind and helpful.

The toilet in our room did not work properly and right on the day of our departure it stopped working at all. We had to request clean towels and request for our room to get cleaned.

Nice folks but could’ve used more food and bev staff but it was a holiday weekend. I would stay here again.

Great hotel, about 6 blocks away from the White House. Rooms were comfortable and clean food at restaurant was good. I would definitely stay here again.

When we arrived, the room was noticeably dusty, and the sheets, duvet, and mattress protector all had multiple stains. We immediately requested fresh bedding, and while the staff responded promptly, the replacement sheets also had stains on them. We reported the issue to the front desk, and they informed us that housekeeping had already left for the evening but would return the next day to clean the room and provide new bedding. The following day, we left the room around 11:00 a.m. expecting the issue to be addressed. However, when we returned later that day, the room had not been cleaned and no new bedding had been provided. The next morning, we had to contact the front desk again and request that our room be prioritized. In addition, the shower door did not close properly, causing water to leak onto the bathroom floor each time the shower was used. We had to repeatedly request extra towels throughout our stay just to keep the floor dry and safe. While I appreciate the kindness and professionalism of the staff, the cleanliness of the room, the maintenance issues, and the lack of follow-through on housekeeping requests were disappointing. Clean bedding, a clean room, and properly functioning facilities are basic expectations for any hotel stay. I hope management addresses these concerns.

The lobby is welcoming and nicely designed. Our room was spacious with a generously sized bed, ensuring a comfortable stay. The shower was also very pleasant to use. Overall, the room felt cozy and inviting. The hotel is about a 10-15 minute walk from the White House, but unfortunately, the entire area around it is fenced off, so you don’t get a clear view. The hotel has a pleasant scent, and the cleaning staff clearly take great care to maintain cleanliness throughout the property. The price was quite a surprise. On Booking.com, the listed price included all taxes, but at the hotel, we were charged an additional fee for reasons that were never clearly explained. The staff advised us to contact Booking.com to resolve the matter. This has never happened to us before. Additionally, the hotel charges a damage fee per night, so be prepared to budget more than just the accommodation cost.

I had an issue with the room I reserved, and the hotel didn't have any more suites available during my stay. However, they quickly did their best to accommodate me. They were so kind as not to charge me for the trouble and to refund my reservation. However, it's the booking site I'm having trouble with. They keep giving excuse after excuse as to WHY they have not refunded me. They went as far as to assign an agent to my case, but she only told me her work schedule and has yet to do anything more. I won't be using booking.com in the future, nor recommending them.

Great staff, clean and well designed rooms. Perfect location in DC for work and for walking to tasty restaurants to seeing live music. Will be back!
