The Darcy is a good hotel located in a prime area. My only objection, and that is why I don't give five stars, is that it charges an amenity fee of about $40 per day that is not necessary. You have to pay the fee even if you don't use it. For example, it offers a drink during happy hour, but if you are not in the hotel at that time, you can't redeem it later at night. It feels like an added mandatory fee that increases the price of each night's stay. The daily rate seems low at this location, but once you add the amenity fee, it matches other, more expensive hotels in the area.

When I first arrived, I was running a little late and it was at peak rush hour traffic time. The Bellman gave me a ride to the conference center charging the same rates as Uber. Very clean and well maintained hotel and rooms. Room service and housekeeping staff were very respectful. My only "complaint" is that they don't have a gift shop, which I always enjoy browsing, so I missed that.

The Darcy is nice enough, but the bathrooms and hallways are quite small and the mattresses (I was in room 438) are a bit saggy and overly soft. I will probably try another place next time. But the location and staff are very good.

Front desk refused to cancel last day of my reservation and referred me to Expedia. After long delay Expedia refused to issue refund.

Odd that they charge you a daily fee to replenish the coffee and water in the room! That was Not good! Coffee maker in the room is complicated to use and all you get is a tiny bit of coffee! Over all good hotel

Exceptional

This is the last time i’m staying with The Darcy. There has been an issue with being charged for three stays of the hotel amenity fee due to a no show for one of the rooms. However, we checked in together and got the keys to both the rooms we reserved. I’m not sure where this no show nonsense is coming from. For the few times Ive stayed at this hotel, this is the first time I see that customer service has gone down. Other than this ongoing issue, the hotel is fine to stay at. The carpet in the rooms sometimes carry a smell but otherwise the bed is comfortable and bathroom is too. It’s nicely located as well. The staff in my previous experiences have always been attentive, professional, and welcoming but this time around something’s changed.

The hotel itself is beautiful—stylish, thoughtfully designed and incredibly comfortable—but Karima is what made our stay memorable. The Darcy is very lucky to have her!

Hotel and the staff were great. The location is close to everything including late night eats. The hotel and our room were very clean! The rooms are a bit on the smaller side but it was fine for 2 adults. We didn’t feel like we were on top of each other at all. We would stay again!
