I wanted to love this hotel. The staff that welcome are amazing and the lobby were lovely! The hotel has a vibe you just want to get more connected with. The art was incredible too, but then there was the room...it was dark...like way too dark. The vibe needs an update in the hallways of the rooms to match the the first floor. Felt like two different spaces. The bed was comfortable, but the room felt dated. Then you could hear everything. Yes, everything! I was there for work, and I get how couples can find this place fun, I just do not need to hear how fun it is. The restaurant downstairs was also great. The drinks, the food, the picture worthy patio...amazing...just like the staff. Just the room was not the same.

The AC didn't work during all our staying. The Hotel double Charged the Room
-
My stay here was nice, a few hiccups but none the less it was still enjoyable! I loved the upgraded room we received.

The AC stopped working on day 2 of our 5 day trip. When we inquired at the front desk we were told it was due to high temps (100’s) We asked what options we had and we were told we could move hotels but there would be no refunds. The staff were unhelpful.

Roof access not open after 7.

Close to everything we were visiting. Wonderful room and bath. Great bath products! Pool could have used more lounger’s.

My husband Naim and I completely fell in love with the hotel’s beautiful layout and sophisticated boutique atmosphere. Every detail felt intentional, elegant, and inviting. The bed was unbelievably comfortable, easily one of the best nights of sleep we’ve had while traveling. We also had the pleasure of interacting with Armond, who was incredibly pleasant, professional, and accommodating throughout our stay. This is hands down the best boutique hotel I’ve ever visited, and it exceeded every expectation I had. The exceptional staff, luxurious accommodations, and overall experience made our Juneteenth weekend and birthday celebration even more special. We will absolutely be returning and highly recommend the Viceroy to anyone visiting Washington, DC. Thank you for an unforgettable stay!

Cons: the shower design allowed so much water to get out of the shower, leaving the floor soaked. The shower also had black mold because of the design allowing water to sit. No fan in the bathroom either to help with moisture, humidity and bathroom uses. The room itself got very damp feeling too - not sure if it was the humidty or the AC to blame for this. The lighting is very dull but thankfully the room has a big window. No garbage bags in the bathroom trash - unsanitary. Pool was very small.

It was updated and clean. Staff went out of their way to help

Mandatory tip for coffee, air conditioner so loud it’s impossible to sleep, property dingy and worn, amenity fee for what? Sucks go elsewhere
