Kimpton Banneker Hotel by IHG

We were not aware the property was under construction. The noise from the street was horrible all night. The air conditioner was loud all night. There was no shower to speak of as the water pressure was terrible. As a very frequent traveler this was by far my worst hotel stay in years. Poor for Kimpton. Paid for city view and got a nice view of the Australian counsel. If that's what they consider city view they should not charge extra.

Highlights; Breakfast, highly recommend to book the breakfast option. It’s a plate per person, and it is real good. The room was 10/10, very comfortable bed, nice shower, super spacious, very clean. Only thing to improve is that there might be some noise from the cars in the street. We bought CVS earplugs and that solved the issue. Other than that, great. Would definitely stay again.

Very nice hotel in a great location. Coffee was late to come out a few mornings, and tea at night would have been very nice. The rooms are stylish, but layout doesn't always make sense -- no coat hooks; chaise/sofa turned away from windows and television; low lighting in bathroom makes it hard to put on makeup) -- little things, but noticeable over several days.

The staff were very helpful and quick to respod to requests. The interiors are a bit worn, the lighting in the rooms is inadequate and the shower is dangerous in that there are absolutely no safety bars or anything to grab ahold of, The restaurant is okay.

The room was very nice but the windows let in all the street sounds, even on a high floor. So much so they provide you ear plugs for your stay. So, ok if you are fine sleeping with ear plugs, otherwise loud at night.

My go-to for most of my trips to Washington D.C.. Staff is AMAZING! I've stayed a few times and now they know me by name :) That's a nice personal touch. Makes me feel at home!

I was double charged for the stay. The property is claiming that yall did not send my funds to pay for the room

Although still doing renovations, the hotel was clean and quite quiet. The staff was excellent, especially our wonderful bartender, Mek. Our room was very spacious and beautiful. I would definitely recommend this hotel which was in a very good location.

Definitely worth the stay with a complimentary happy hour & great breakfast

Arrived an hour after check-in began only to find out that our Hotel was overbooked. We were transferred to another hotel that had an additional fee for pets. Hotel was over a mile away. We had to negotiate the pet cost. Also had reserved prepaid parking near booked hotel that had to be cancelled. Transferred to Yours Truly Hotel. New hotel was willing to work with me until we figured everything out. They had to call the original hotel and their management to get everything sorted out.

I wish I knew I booked that there would be constant construction from 9-5

Had some trouble on check in and the staff were amazing! I checked in with my son with a boatload of luggage from our truck and the valet loaded everything for us! We were also late arriving and the restaurant downstairs was closing in 20 mins and without any trouble they happily served us a full meal drinks and dessert! We love the staff! the hotel is boutique so smaller than most Kimptons but perfect for couples and weekend warriors! highly recommended! ps they have a HUGE selection of snacks and wines!

This was my second stay at the Kimpton Banneker, and it will always be my go-to hotel in DC. The location is great, as is their pet-friendly policy. My room was beautiful and well-maintained throughout my stay. Breakfast staff were especially nice, and the whole ambiance is uplifting. Happy hour is a definite plus!
