What a great and unique property! So historic and yet also so modern and beautiful! Staff was amazing. Had a wonderful chat with Jill during happy hour. The staff clearly is proud of the property and interested in sharing its history.

Location and vibe are great. WiFi worked, bed was comfortable. Room did not totally darken so needed an eye mask and some furnishings are showing a fair bit of wear. Hotel bar restaurant was fabulous.

Some hotel staff were exceedingly helpful. Others seemed like they were doing you a favor.

Amazing staff. Very professional and helpful. We had a minor hiccup with the room and Poncedar the manager handled it very well! We love staying here, the food is great, good location and clean, unique rooms.

The issues started before check-in. I arrived around 10 PM to find no valet, a locked entrance, and no one answering the hotel phone despite multiple calls. After dragging two heavy bags around the building trying multiple entrances, a valet finally appeared. The hotel felt worn and poorly maintained. Hallway carpets were stained and curling, the room walls were heavily scuffed and damaged, and the bathroom fixtures and showerhead had obvious hard water buildup. The bed and rug seemed new and clean, but the room looked neglected. The TV’s smart features didn’t work, so there was no way to stream or cast. In 2026, that’s a basic amenity. Hilton’s Curio Collection, many Marriott properties, and true luxury boutique hotels all offer guest streaming. The biggest concern was safety. Around 5:30/6AM, the fire alarm went off twice. The alarm in my room was so faint I thought it was coming from another building. I called the front desk multiple times—no answer. Another guest was the only reason I knew it was a false alarm. There was no communication, apology, or follow-up from the hotel. Poor service, poor maintenance, and poor communication. 0/10. I would not stay here again. Stick to the larger chains and their “luxury divisions”

    Clean room. Nice bar.

I would have given this a higher rating but felt assaulted when we entered the portico and into the hotel. The large pictures of seductive young men were offensive to us. The decor of the worn out carpet didn’t help. Then realizing it had been a church was insulting. The water pressure was difficult in our bathroom. The staff was wonderful and friendly. The rooms were clean.

I called the hotel and they said it was for in room bar charges of 1 bag of chips and 5 sodas. The chips were mine but neither I or my travel partner drink soda. I told them to refund the 5 sodas....they didn't. Rip off.

Cool rooms, comfortable, quiet, great location, and decent gym set up The cafe. We sat down at a table and didn’t get served at all, so we left and got breakfast for takeaway.

Late night staff needs additional training. Housekeeping skipped cleaning, A/C issues for the entirety of the stay.
