The issue we had was with the deceptive business practice! We paid for our 5 day stay on line (the daily rate that was advertised) ahead of time, just to learn upon our arrival that the rate is higher and we were about to charged extra per day.... It was very disappointing that we were charged higher rate that was advertised! Watch out for the deceptive business practices at Thompson Washington!!!

The rooftop bar is so much fun and the bartenders have a lot to do with that. You can't really eat too much up there after 7pm, though, so plan ahead.

The staff was great, and the hotel was in a nice location, but my "balcony" room turned into room 217, where I had a little porch that was carved into a garden separating the hotel from an apartment building. Anyone on my side of the building could easily walk right up to my door. -- which was secured with an after-market slider bolt; the installed deadbolt did not work -- and the people in the apartments could have come over, too. Between the thick foliage and the need to keep the blinds closed for privacy -- again, those apartments were right there -- my room felt like a cave.

Proximity to Nats stadium and Rooftop Bar. Excellent drinks/appetizers. A bit pricey, however it was a beautiful hotel.

The staff were incredibly nice and helpful. Room and facilities were spotless. If you’re in D.C. near the nationals park this is the best choice. We will be going back.

Great location, staff were nice but we weren’t able to check in till almost two hours past checkin time and after a full day of travel it would’ve been nice to have some accommodation for that delay.

Towels were ripped but other than that the room was very comfortable. The staff was wonderful.
