Hotel was beautiful & clean. Rooftop bar was empty, but the view was beautiful & drinks were good. The body wash & lotion here smelled so good we wanted to purchase some for home!! Great overnight stay in DC, we will be back ❤️

What a great hotel! The staff was friendly, the rooms were beautiful and comfortable and the gym was very nice!

The staff was very attentive! The room was clean and the amenities wonderful. The location is prime if you want to see a Nationals Baseball game. The rooftop bar is also nice.

It was very convenient for everywhere in the Navy Yard

This is an excellent hotel. It was well maintained and very clean. The hotel staff was professional and very friendly. We only stayed one night but would definitely stay there when we return to the area.

Hotel was great but the woman working the front desk after midnight on my stay was UNBELIEVABLY rude.

Restaurant open but limited offerings on the menu.. food cold , like it was pre cooked and microwaved up on request. The service is excellent in the restaurant; personal wise, not food wise…

Fine stay. Nothing extraordinary. Facility is clean and reasonable. No special accommodation given of any nature.. I wanted to stay an extra night. They would not help. Go to ur original order and try there.. they said..

Unfortunately, there was a major event taking place during our stay, and several road closures made it extremely difficult to get to the hotel, especially since we were unfamiliar with the area. It would have been greatly appreciated if the hotel had sent guests a heads-up about the road closures or provided alternate directions ahead of time. Once we arrived, the valet staff was excellent—friendly, helpful, and welcoming. However, I can’t say the same about the gentleman who checked us in. He offered very little information about the hotel, its amenities, or anything that would have made us feel more welcomed as first-time guests. We also had an issue with the shower head in our room, which wasn’t functioning properly. It wasn’t a major inconvenience for a one-night stay, but it’s something that should be addressed. Overall, the hotel was clean, which I appreciated. However, given the price point and the luxury reputation of the property, I expected a more polished experience and better customer service.

I have stayed here multiple times: convenient, reasonable . Restaurant is nothing to talk about. The bar on the main floor is almost always not attended, bar on the roof is nothing to scream about… I like the location, on the navy yard and close to the capitol center. Other than that it offere not much except a clean bead at a reasonable price.. they will not help u book extra day if u book with expedita.

We love staying at The Thompson! People are very friendly and it's in an excellent location!
