This hotel was the best! It’s in a great area and walking distance to a lot! The staff is superb even the door man “Million” was so kind and accommodating. It was clean and the room was very comfortable, especially the bed!!

Greatly disappointed with the service here based on circumstances that were beyond our control.

The staff. They accommodated an early arrival and they accommodated all of our requests-phone charger and ice. Location was awesome! The bed! Very firm and uncomfortable but that could just be my preference. An extra chair in the room would have been great. Parking was expensive but I understand.

The location was convenient I was charged for incidentals. I didn't purchase any incidentals. I emailed the property about it but the property said that I had to call. It was impossible to get to a person, so after a month, I had to reach out to Booking.com for assistance.

Air conditioning and fridge in room did not work. Couldn’t get anyone at front desk to answer phone. Location is great

The location is great—very convenient and close to the Navy Yard and the river, which made it easy to explore the area. Valet parking was a little expensive, especially since the price depends on the size of the vehicle, plus taxes. Breakfast at Surveyor was also a bit pricey. Overall, we had a great experience and would definitely recommend this hotel. We would happily stay here again!

Bad

The issue we had was with the deceptive business practice! We paid for our 5 day stay on line (the daily rate that was advertised) ahead of time, just to learn upon our arrival that the rate is higher and we were about to charged extra per day.... It was very disappointing that we were charged higher rate that was advertised! Watch out for the deceptive business practices at Thompson Washington!!!

The rooftop bar is so much fun and the bartenders have a lot to do with that. You can't really eat too much up there after 7pm, though, so plan ahead.

The staff was great, and the hotel was in a nice location, but my "balcony" room turned into room 217, where I had a little porch that was carved into a garden separating the hotel from an apartment building. Anyone on my side of the building could easily walk right up to my door. -- which was secured with an after-market slider bolt; the installed deadbolt did not work -- and the people in the apartments could have come over, too. Between the thick foliage and the need to keep the blinds closed for privacy -- again, those apartments were right there -- my room felt like a cave.

Blow dryer didn't work great

I came from Raleigh for a Nationals game. Truly outstanding!! The bar closed early
