Super 8 by Wyndham Wausau

I really appreciated the pre-checkin made for such a fast checkin!

Everything was on point nothing wrong with it and would stay again if needed or maybe just for a small getaway

The bedding and towels were very clean, but the floor was filthy and the soap/shampoo/conditioner containers empty. I notified the front desk who said they would tell housekeeping. No problem as they were not expecting to put us in that room. But after 4 days...floor still filthy, no soap, shampoo or conditioner. Also weird that housekeeping did not make the beds. All they do is empty trash cans & replace towels. Except day three...they took the dirty towels, but didn't leave clean ones. Not quite sure how this property got the 8.4 rating showing on Expedia.

Staff was attentive and engaging. Complimentary breakfast was well-rounded to meet anyone’s needs. Bathroom exhaust wasn’t working. Just a quick overnight stay while traveling, met our basic needs. Would stay again.

It was very clean. Pool and hot tub were great. Breakfeast was OK.

Room was clean, pool was open 24/7 which was cool. Staff were extremely polite.

Showed up to property, no one was at the counter. Waited and called the number that was at the front desk. No answer. Waited more and a lady finally showed up but was rude so we told her we would go stay elsewhere as they were not wanting to be very helpful. They also would not refund us our money and when we called the manager the next day was told they offered us a service, which they in fact did NOT. 100% do not recommend staying here

Great place for the price. Restaurants are in walking distance. Just off the highway. The standard Super 8 breakfast. Room was clean and shower had hot water.

I liked how the room was updated and clean. There wasn't any stench when entering the room. The toilet and shower worked as it's supposed to through out the rest of my stay. Breakfast was basic and filling nothing fancy the breakfast area was clean and inviting. One of the perks I enjoyed was the indoor pool and jacuzzi with 24hrs access with the room card. The jacuzzi was clean the only compliant would be is going light on the chlorine as it was starting to irritate and burn my eyes. Overall it was soothing and relaxing after a long busy day. The gym room was basic cardio including an elliptical, treadmill, and a bike with no weight equipments. I had a light cardio workout before going to bed every night. I used the amenities provided and wasn't disappointed. I'd definitely recommend if going to be in central wausau for a decent price with 2 queen sized beds. Overall, I was satisfied just using what came with the hotel. The hallways need an update especially the flooring with carpet and stairway looking dingy and old. My only complaint is changing out the carpet and giving it a fresh look. The bathroom is small enough space to take care of business which isn't terrible, however if your someone who's looking for a larger size bathroom not sure this would be within your accommodation. Not sure if this hotel provides an elevator, if not you'll be lugging your baggages up a few flight of stairs. It's still applicable for those without any issues with mobility.

Little amount of breakfast items left at 8 am and not replenished. Hot tub jets didn’t work until the city pool guy reset them. Never was able to join the internet which has never been an issue prior as I travel for a living.
