Hampton Inn West Des Moines Lake Drive

First room assignment smelled of urine. Was granted a new room. Was not aware of 75.00 pet charge on Expedia. Knowing that I would have booked elsewhere

Our room was comfortable, clean, and quiet. We used the app to check in and out, so the only contact we had with staff was in the morning at breakfast. The women we talked with were friendly and helpful. We would stay again!

Fine for a one night stay,

Great staff....nice cookies when we arrived......the major issue is that the elevator stopped working overnight. Very hard to check out with luggage, coolers, elderly parents.

Our hotel room had mold in the shower.

Only one elevator was working, delay with being checked in, hot tub jets were not working, pool was murky, the gym had broken equipment, ice vending machines were out of order, clean up crew were working after 5 pm while new guest were checking in, and staff didn't seem attentive.

Not what we expect in a Hampton Inn. The building was not well cleaned and the first room was not acceptable at all. Paige was super kind and moved us but overall the building needs an overhaul. The windows were filthy and apparently they all were going to be!!

Close to many things, free parking, clean rooms, nice breakfast options, pet friendly I wish there was a microwave in our own hotel room rather than having to go all the way downstairs from the 4th floor

Did not keep the room clean on the every other day rotation they stated

The person at the front desk when I checked in acted like I was annoying him by existing. My room was at the farthest possible end of the hall, right by the exit door that slammed SO LOUD every time someone used it, the outside side door didn't work

My only thing was that no one explained that the blinds were electronic and where to find the switches. But once I accidentally found that, all was good. Very clean and comfortable.

Rooms were very nice and clean. We checked in and the lady was super nice. She took time to find my Hilton Honors number but was u successful. Breakfast was ok. Reg scrambled eggs would have been nice. Not everyone likes garden omelets. Boiled eggs should have been peeled prior to bringing out. You couldn’t even peel them. Threw them away. Parking was plenty

Room was clean. Bed was very comfortable. Also area was quiet.

The staff was friendly, very helpful and professional. The location was excellent. I’m paralyzed and am in wheelchair full time and traveling by myself. I must have a roll-in shower and a handicap accessible room. I’d specifically asked in advanced by calling in twice prior to arrival. After checking in to my room, I was given a handicap room WITHOUT a roll-in shower. I went without a shower for two days. I could have complained and asked for a new room but I get so tired of having to do this. Details matter and it’s so hard when I explained directly to this hotel on multiple occasions what and why I needed.

Great value for the money! Yummy breakfast, clean rooms, and polite staff. This will be our go to when traveling across the country.

Very Comfortable stay for our family and other softball team families that stayed there as well. I appreciate the pool staying open late so our players could enjoy a nice swim even after having to play the late game that night.

Na Promoted pet friendly was surprised it cost an additional $75 at check in for a pet and main entry light in room didn’t work
