The staff was attentive, the location is great and the hotel is very comfortable. I really enjoyed getting an Equinox gym pass. Fantastic gym just around the corner.

We loved staying at this hotel! Our room was spacious and super comfortable with colorful retro decor. In many ways, the hotel is a museum commemorating its rock 'n' roll history with walls lined with black-and-white photographs of the many legends who've stayed there. It made for a fun stroll through the lobby and public areas. We enjoyed the restaurant and beautiful grounds. The hotel is situated on a quiet street in the happening West Hollywood area. We were able to walk to some of LA's best restaurants on Melrose. We would gladly stay at the SM again!

This is my third time staying at the sunset marquee within a year.. the only 3 times I have gone to California I have stayed here. My favorite place ever, staff is amazing. Got upgraded to a villa the first time ever and it was insane. Totally recommend this hotel and the location is amazing - quiet and secure
