The hotel has a lot of equipment sitting in front of the property which makes look messy and dirty. There were a lot of tubs and and and containers that look like they have been there for a while. The hotel looks dated and used. The elevator wasn't working when we arrived (kept tripping the breaker). The ice machine was broken so you had to ask the front desk worker for some ice and it was limited. The hotel is right off IH-44 so it's easy to access and it's close to downtown. There's a Denny's by the entrance as well. The room was clean but smelled musty, and like a wet dog. The tile around the shower was lose and kept making a weird nose when you stepped on it. The front desk worker was very nice and helpful. They had several coolers with cold drinks, water bottles, and a variety of snacks available to take for free for the riders that were going to do the Hotter'n Hell ride.

Stayed here for the Hotter n Hell ride. The room was fine, AC worked well, bathroom was clean, plenty of hot water. Only issue was the icemaker in the frig only made one batch of ice, but other than that there were no real issues. Love the fact that it is a full size refrigerator. The hallway carpet and the recliner in our room were both rather "tired", but judging from the construction equipment in the parking lot, they may be doing some updating soon? The immediate area is fairly run down in this part of Wichita Falls, but we had no problems. The location is convenient for getting to Hotter n Hell taking only a few minutes to reach the parking area the morning of the ride. There were some additional fees when checking in, but none too significant. There are definitely nicer places to stay, but this worked for us and was fairly priced.

My room was not newly remodeled like you get at some hotels which typically cost more, and it was a little bit dirty, but not bad. It was cleaner than most people's homes, so nothing to really complain about. I give it 5 stars because my room (these are actually suites) was huge and spacious, it came with a full kitchen, and both windows opened for fresh air. The hospitality was also really great. There is no free breakfast, but they offered complimentary muffins in the morning as a nice surprise. I'm also an IHG gold member, and they gave me a free snack of my choice as a reward. I have never received anything special like that at any other hotels. I would stay here again.

We'll definitely be back as we travel west!

The toothbrush and toothpaste was too expensive especially for a loose plastic toothbrush.

​However, the hotel itself is in terrible condition. Walking into the lobby, everything told me to turn around and not even check in. It smelled old, and the furniture was completely dilapidated and fit for a dumpster. Because it was after midnight, I had no choice but to stay the night, but I shortened the rest of my stay because I couldn't wait to get out. ​The room was just as bad. The bathroom tiles were lifted and rocky, which terrified me because I was scared my kids would cut their feet. The chairs in the room belonged in a trash chute, and the towels were old and incredibly coarse. The staff is doing their absolute best, but management desperately needs to renovate this property.

Liked it because it was an old school hotel with all the stuff new hotels don’t have

I always trust Candlewood to provide a nice stay at a fair price.

A lot bugs and no hot water no clean

I WAS one of the rooms with no hot water!!!! This really is unacceptable and seems to be the just the way IHG is running things now. Running these hotels right into the ground.

Failed to be professional at the service desk. Also failed to tell us we did not have any hot water. After finding this out, I asked for a discount and I’m still waiting to see if they follow through on the 30% discount.

No hot water. They said it will be out for a while. They should update Hotels.com so the consumer knows what they are paying for.

The room was clean, but the furniture was very worn and tired. The exterior was littered with construction materials and was generally unattractive.

Walls/corners were chipped, paint dull/marks. Decorations were fall colors. Flags need replaced .Torn and tattered.
