Motel 6 Wichita Falls, TX - North

I booked my reservation back in February twenty twenty six and received a confirmation at that time. When I arrived on August 28th to with my confirmed reservation in hand, I was told at the front desk that my reservation had been canceled. I received no prior notification, no explanation, and no cancellation confirmation before arriving. Staff indicated the cancellation was due to overbooking, however, when I checked availability online at the time, the property showed no rooms available at all with tripple the price, which strongly suggests this was a case of price gouging rather than a genuine overbooking issue. When I attempted to address this with the manager on duty, I was met with rudeness and a complete lack of professionalism or concern for my situation. As a result, I was forced to drive fifty five miles to Lawton, Oklahoma, to secure a place to sleep, arriving late and getting only about four hours of rest before waking at four thirty AM to compete in a hundred mile race. This directly and negatively impacted my race performance that day. I am requesting a formal explanation for how this reservation was canceled without notice, and I am requesting appropriate compensation

Not bad at all. Better than expected.

It had a bed. Smoky smell. Bathroom dirty. Air conditioner did not work. Left at 4:30 a.m. as even my dogs could not tolerate the heat. Do not stay there.

I arrived at hotel and I checked in and i booked a king bed they gave me a room with double bed so I went to front desk and the lady said she could not do anything about it so I ask for refund she said no that the mgr be in in morning and I talked to mgr he said what you want me do we was booked and he was very rude and unprofessional

A few months after booking my room thru Expedia, the hotel contacted me saying that I would have to cancel my reservation and make a new one, because the price had changed. I told him that I’m pretty certain that’s illegal, and I’d like to keep the reservation I had. That was the last I heard from them. The day before check-in, I got an email from Expedia saying we were all set, and a message from the hotel saying they’re looking forward to having me. Then on the day of check-in when I arrived, they told me that my reservation had been cancelled. I rechecked all my communications with the hotel via email and Expedia, and there was no record of the reservation being cancelled. There was nothing I could do, I booked a different hotel for the night, and will never book this hotel again. Beware of extremely shady business practices.

Location was ok. It could have been cleaner. It was very outdated.

when i booked online the hotel would cancel minutes later and i'd rebook and the price would be higher than the first booking manager is rude

Rooms were clean and staff was friendly. Great place to stop is you travel with your pets.

Bed was very firm & incredibly well lit parking lot had light leaking into the room. Nonsmoking room smelled like smoke.

This is the worse place you can ever stay at ,the ac leaks inside the room ,the pictures where taken 20 yrs ago ,I got bit by bed bugs every single night ,it was so bad I didnt even stay my last night there ,the water in the tub took 5 minutes to drain ,the toilet took 20 min to flush ,the shower curtains had mold everywhere the worse part about it I said something to the front desk ans they said it was my fault that I had stayed there and not said something and I asked for a cleaner updated room and they told me no I rather give you your money back and go somewhere else ,the worse experience I have ever had in a hotel and I travel for work so I have had some bad ones but this takes the cake by faaaaarrr stay as far away as possible from this location ,the towels had brown stains on them ,the washer room you can only wash because the dryers don't work ,I asked for a second key and they gave me an attitude about that

Cons: a little noise from the interstate, low water pressure for showers at night Overall for a budget Motel, I would recommend.
