Coliseum Ocean Resort

I contacted both the hotel and Expedia to cancel this booking because I had to travel to my country due to a family emergency. Unfortunately, neither of them was able to help me with the cancellation. Now that I'm back, I see that the reservation was never canceled, and I'm being charged the full amount. This is extremely disappointing. I did everything I could to cancel in advance, yet I received no assistance. The customer service I experienced was unacceptable, and I would appreciate a review of my case and a fair resolution.

The best part is obviously the location a short walk to the most beautiful beach! The ladies in the office were amazing, kind helpful, and very friendly to us. That’s the second best thing. The restaurant on the property was so nice. We basically walked 20 feet to get our meals no hassle at all I would stay again. The maintenance guy was busting his butt trying to keep everything clean. He was also very helpful constantly checking on us to make sure we were satisfied.

Liked nothing. Parking lot was so tight it was impossible to park. Bathroom was so small; difficult to do anything in there. Kitchen was old/rotting cabinets. Smoking allowed outside your room. Terrible stench. Seating at pool was sparce . In addition, our room was supposed to be on 1st floor. Website says that. We got a room on 2nd floor which was not good. Stayed one night. See above.

Beautiful view of the beach, super close and included a pool. Some rooms didn’t have working air conditioning and were very humid.

Loved that the hotel was right on the beach. I didn't even put my shoes on, went right out the door through the parking lot and at the beach. Loved that our room had a kitchenette with a little stove too. Our last day there, there was a whole family that we were in between, they took over our chairs out front, they had a TV and carts and etc. kids toys. They were loud and I had to put my music on my phone so I could fall asleep. BUT with that happening - no fault of the staff we still had a GREAT time and will be back!

Pool was not properly maintained with chlorine. The parking is extremely tight. Staff was very critical with us personally about our parking even when we followed the directions provided to us. Meanwhile we saw that other cars were not parked following the strict directions so we were confused why we were the only ones that were criticized. The towels and bed sheets were poorly cleaned.

The kitchenette has all the basics you need as far as pots, pans, dishes, silverware, toaster, and coffeemaker. You only need your ingredients to fill the full size refrigerator. Oven meals can be made ahead of time and reheated in the microwave, as only burners are available. There is a grocery store (Acme) within a few minutes of the hotel and a Walmart 20 minutes away as well. The room is spacious and comfortable. There is ample seating available, unlike many other hotels I have visited. The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful. What is very nice is the beach access. Just beyond the parking lot is a station where you can shower off the sand. You can go full body, waist down, or feet only. There are benches provided to sit and get your shoes on and take a rest from your climb over the dunes. The path over the dunes has a nice boardwalk. As a disabled woman with mobility issues, this was a minimally accessible hotel if you use a walker, cane, crutches, or forearm crutches. You may manage with a small wheelchair, but I would only suggest it if the person using it is able to transfer independently. There are no ramps and only one handicapped parking space. The place was very clean! Of course it had signs of use, not everything is brand new. But that adds to the charm.

Location No smoking signs, people needs to see signs to respect the privacy of the rest.

Great pool. Great location great resort

Very close to the beach, but not too accessible to the boardwalk. Room and facility was very clean. Our room was a bit small and not much room in the sitting area. We could hear the neighbor's TV all night.

Proximity to beach and nothing else Grimey dirty disgusting. No worker in lobby. No bell. No one there for hours. Restrooms are in a scary weird hard to find spot and are disgusting. It is not a resort. It is a motel.

Location was good people were nice They made me pack up my room and move 2 doors down because of booking issues im a single mom with 2 kids and it wasn't easy to pack up everything and move

It’s clean. Family friendly Staff was rude at time. Check in was horrible which surprised me since I have been for years now.

Room had very inefficient lighting outlets didn’t work no luggage racks. They are necessity. Property had papers all over the place
