Coliseum Ocean Resort

We were disappointed that the pictures during booking did not match the room we were provided. Other reviews/responses indicated that the property is progressively being updated, but this was not specified while booking. There was not an option to stay in an updated style. The bed layout that we had selected had images of a much nicer layout and accommodations than what we were provided. Will not be staying again.

Eh, charge too much because of location. Beds subpar, can feel springs, uncomfortable, no sleep.

Our bathroom smelled like mildew and the nozzle to turn on shower was half falling off. The security chain inside the door was broken and there was sand on the sheets, the sheet you lay on.

I loved our stay, the only two comments I have that really impacted my stay; one being that the rooms could have been cleaned more thoroughly (they weren’t crazy, but you can tell that they did not pay attention to details). The second being that the parking situation was a bit of a let down. When I was looking at the images and description, they made it seem like there was plenty of spacious parking. That was misleading in my opinion for they did not have enough parking (even though there was a sign that said one space per room) and the spaces that were provided were so tight that I actually came back with some minor scratches on car. While I was staying, I had to call to ask where I could park if all the spots were taken and was told that I had to find street parking two blocks away; to go turn left and go two block (no other details. That was enough info for me especially since I wasn’t from that area).

Very Clean Roon, Staff was amazing and the stay was very pleasant. Loved the experience and will definitely be back in the future. Thank you.

They definitely need to improve room cleaning, especially in the bathroom; the shower curtain needs to be clean, and the toilet is very old and dirty.

Overall a nice place to stay. Close to the beach and a good pizza restaurant. We had a few minor issues connecting to wifi, working the TV, etc. Staff was very helpful.

This was the perfect no frills place to stay for our family vacation down the shore. Place is older and has nothing fancy but the proximity to the beach with the price point, this hotel was a no-brainer. Parking spots are very narrow and difficult to get into but the front desk clerk was very helpful in getting us overnight parking access. The WiFi was hit or miss and our tv never seemed to work… but this was hardly a deal breaker. Pool was nice as was the balcony seating. We could watch the wildwood fireworks on Friday night. We will definitely we booking again.

Upon arrival, my check-in was easy, & convenient. When I got to the room, I was under the impression that it would have a couch because my reservation stated it slept six however it was just me and my children so I shrugged my shoulders and kept it moving. The owner seemed super helpful. The room had two beds which were reasonably comfortable. The fridge was clean, and the floors were clean. However, when I booked this reservation, I booked three rooms all which should have been Ocean view. Unfortunately, only two of those rooms were actually Ocean view.. when my sister-in-law arrived later that night her room looked to be a makeshift room out of a janitors closet. The floors were a mess. There was dirty laundry in the dresser drawers. The sheets were filthy, when she called the number on the door, the lady and assured her that it would be corrected and taking care of the following morning. Unfortunately, that led to an entirely different situation of her being removed from the premises and threatened with the police when she confronted the owner regarding the ocean view reservation, and the current condition of the room she was put in with her two small children. The three rooms were booked as a group booking through Expedia. The owner stated he was not aware of a group booking and blamed it on a computer algorithm. The best part of this motel is that it is on the beach of Wildwood and it has a great pizzeria located on the first floor oceanfront.

We checked in, saw the room and left. Nothing like the pictures online. The “kitchen table” was a cheap folding card table with similar chairs. Hair in the bathroom and on the floors. Shower was leaking. Crumpled aluminum foil as pan drips for the stove tops. Key cards didn’t work after going the desk 3 separate times. Whole room had a strong odor. Would not recommend.

The only thing going for this motel is its location on the beach. Otherwise it’s dirty, poorly maintained, loud and parking spaces are so narrow your passenger can’t get out of the car.

It was just a basic hotel. Somewhere to sleep which was really all I needed but the bathroom was tiny, the fridge was tiny, and the shower was held together by one screw hanging on by a thread. Couldn’t get the TV to connect to anything and the WiFi sucked. But the pool was nice and warm and the staff were super friendly. I wouldn’t stay there more than one night. Also the parking spaces were super tight if you have anything bigger than a sedan. Pizza place on site was nice. The owners are so nice and the food is good. But they also advertise a store on site but there was nothing more than some shelves with minimal items for sale in the lobby.

Our bathroom was so small which I knew but didn’t think it was that small. We had a good time overall

I've stayed here before years ago, before the so called renovations and I have to say it was 10x nicer back then. Utilities in the room didn't work and when we asked the front desk for help they didn't know anything. The AC (in our room) was placed over the bed and no remote to control it so you have to literally climb on top of the bed to fix the settings. The pool area was disgusting. I honestly don't think they maintain it on a daily basis, it was always cloudy and just overall dirty. Parking sucks. I don't know what they spent money on making it "better" because it was a dump. Don't waste your time or money here.

Location was nice. TV in our room did not work.

You people screwed up my booking and the place was literally a ghetto not fit for a dog it was disgustingly gross I left and found another hotel and i was never refunded

The laundry is not 24 hours and opens late
