Best Western Plus Genetti Wilkes Barre

Had a pleasant stay.

I would definitely stay here again. Fun shops and good food downtown. The room decor and paint makes it feel a bit dated, but the room was comfortable, the shower pressure and bath products were great, and it had the quiet we needed.

This hotel made me feel rich!! So beautiful, buffet breakfast,amazingly clean,outside pool,right in heart of Wilkesbarre but not hard to get around ,fridge microwave and iron in room and very friendly staff. Would love to stay again!!!

Dislikes: Interior looks clean but very dated. Carpet is in dire need of a shampoo or replaced entirely. The framed artwork everywhere does not help. Black and white pictures made it feel like were in the '40s. The whole lobby area has good "bones" but needs some color and life. Same goes with the outside; could use bright landscaping. Frustrations: They collect our buffet ticket when we used it so you have to keep getting a new one at the desk. Why? It felt unnecessary if staying there for a week especially when our stay dates on written on the card. They have a hanging door sign for maid service but told me that it does not prompt the staff to make up the room. Ours hung on our door for 3 days. We also called the front desk (as the paper they gave us instructed us to do before 9am) to replace towels and garbage but they didn't come. When asked in person the next day, they said not to call and you can only request by asking in person at the desk as long as you ask "before 8am". New rules? Where does it even say that? What is the difference in calling the desk from my room vs in person?

Quaint hotel. Very cozy and staff were wonderful.

Great spot close to lots of restaurants, entertainment, and the bus depot. Very friendly staff.

Always stay here when staying overnight in Wilkes Barre! Rooms are always clean and staff is always very friendly and accommodating!

Pool was well maintained especially for an older facility. The entire facility was very clean and charming.

One of the rooms had a couple of dogs in it, and I couldn’t sleep the entire night. I woke up with a headache. They are supposed to keep pets on a different floor.

Convenient location. Comfortable beds and linens. Friendly staff. Quiet room. Easy, free parking. Especially appreciated the many choices on the breakfast buffet, included in our room rate. Excellent value! Would stay here again.

Great value great breakfast buffet eggs sausage potatoes a free newsapaper every morning the works in the summer a great outside swimming pool 😃 so come one come all it's a wonderful hotel I'll be back august and beyond ty

Breakfast seemed good but had bathroom issues afterwards. Was interrupted during breakfast with a room issue which was disconcerting and wasn't happy with the area options

The hotel is extremely dated and not kept up. The photos on Expedia are deceiving. The lobby and our room smelled like cigarette smoke. The staff was friendly and the place was tidy. Breakfast was good.
