Wilkes Barre Lodge

The owner of Wilkes Barre lodge is very disrespectful to me and finance he called my room for giving a bad comment on his message and threatened me several times due to the bad comment on how he and wife charged more than what the price was and charged me and finance more when we extended the stay for early check in. I advice anyone not to rent a room here, there plenty of cheaper hotels near Wilkes Barre lodge.

Very clean!

I would say it was somewhat updated and clean. The outside sidewalk area needs work. Side lamp for the night table would have been nice so you didn't have to use wall or overhead lights as they were too bright for evening. Near a busy road, so it was a little noisy . Reminder that there is no hair dryer or coffee maker either just a refrigerator. Not bad just for a place to crash as far as cost goes!

This motel was just remodeled in the last 3years it is very clean and the owners are such nice people and there rates are great

Becareful Of area and just a reminder this is a non refundable property!

My daughter and her friend stayed overnight and said the room smelt very musty and they thought they were going to die in the room

Had a great stay. Love the woman at the desk, she's very pleasant.

Surprisingly comfortable and clean. They've done a nice job rehabbing it. Two downsides: you must close the heavy curtains, otherwise everyone can see right into your room. There are no amenities.

Cons: - Both shampoo bottles were sticky. - This was the only stop during our cross country drive where we felt like one of us needed to watch the half packed car while preparing to check out (after seeing someone wandering around).

The beds were too hard and the pillows were too small, short and thin. No coffee maker in the room. Cheap toilet paper. A dead bug in the shower. Price was good but you get what you pay for I guess.
