Days Inn by Wyndham Wilkes Barre

The hot is ok for a quick visit. The breakfast is not all that, but IHOP is right in front of the hotel. The hotel is smoke free (however guests had definitely smoked in the rooms, because it smells a lot like cigarettes. I asked for my room to be changed because of the cigarette smell, and they nicely did, but the other room smelled the same. The staff is very nice, I would not go back because is the cigarette smell. I would recommend it if you don't mind the nicotine smell.

The location was easy from the highway. We arrived late in the evening and the front desk clerk was very annoyed to have to check us in. Someone else arrived while we were checking in and they let out a loud sigh at having to take care of someone else after us. The beds were comfortable. The room, at first look, seemed to be clean. The bathroom showed much dirt and definitely needed to be cleaned much more thoroughly. The breakfast was mediocre, even for budget hotel standards.

Breakfast was good and fresh and parking was safe.

Satisfied with my stay

Nothing stands out. Air conditioning was very noisy. And no hand bars in the shower. It was not a handicapped room but it would be nice to have them.

The price was excellent The Continental breakfast was sparse. Not much of a selection.

It was okay My toilet leak all over the floor three out of the five days I was there I asked for a refund from them, but they refused.

Easy access to I81. Quiet location with elevator. 10% discount at IHOP in front.

The breakfast was OK. Breakfast area is too small to sit down and eat. Most people had to take their breakfast back to the room. Food choices were minimal.

Technology! It got resolved about 20/25 mins or so, after.. nice staff!

Highway noise was minimal in the front of the hotel. Room was small, but spotless. Access to the hotel was behind several buildings. Kind of hard to find. One sketchy character drifted through the parking lot. There was a musty smell in the room that was dissipated when we turned on the A/C.

Convenient location, that’s all. Extremely outdated. Reviews are highly misleading. Trash all around the outside of the property. Garbage can in hallway was broken, horrible smell in the hallway, the room bathroom was a nightmare. The ceiling was caving in due to water damage and the toilet and bathtub were unusable. The bed was as hard as a rock. Loud noises outside. When checking out no one to be found except an employees wet shoes propped up against a fan in the lobby.

Side empty parking lot could have been developed - repaved with stairs added to the incline to accommodate more necessary parking.

Room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was rather skimpy. Overall cost was a little high, but this was a good place to stop on our long road trip.
