Would've been nice to know that basic necessities like bath soap wasn't provided

It is very family-oriented. I wish they offered complimentary breakfast, but other than that, it was a great vacation stay! 😊

However, that same night I had to get our family to somewhere and quickly. I maneuvered and made a call, booked the room with this hotel instead, was welcomed and enjoyed everything. Fully recommend this Courtyard and the staff. Best wishes to all of them. The rooms are not as large by any means as I would have hoped, however cleanliness is the main concern when in Williamsburg along with staying far away from Cockroaches, I am happy to report there are none on this hotels property it appears. Which many others in the area battle.

The staff was excellent. The space, though, was not. Everything was black and white, decorated with a minimalist eye. The lobby had a lot of wasted space. The "Bistro" was a counter with a very limited menu and a bar. There was not a dresser in our room. There was a flat table under the tv, a long plastic type box with 2 drawers that slid half way under the table, and a lot of wasted space.

Room and common areas was very clean.

This courtyard was beautifully maintained and very clean. We loved the room and pool area. It had a very nice fitness center, and easy to access parking. The staff were very friendly and helpful! We will definitely stay again.

We travel a couple times a month at different chain hotels. This Courtyard Marriott has to be the cleanest, friendliest with the best amenities we've had the pleasure of staying at. We actually had an extremely poor experience 5 days prior to this stay at another Marriott in another town. Other Marriott's should model themselves after this location. Great job to the staff!

We were in a room on the first floor and the smell was horrible! It smelt like cat urine in the hallways and in our room. You could also smell some sort of chemical that was fairly strong from the maintenance being done. There was stuff all over the floor in the halls as well. We could hear everything out in the hallway, and above us. Overall, if the smells weren’t so bad and the noise level wasn’t bad then it would be decent. The bed was comfy but not worth the money.

Check-in was quick and simple. Room was clean and staff was pleasant.

Maybe a better choice out of the surrounding hotels but definitely didn't feel like it was as great as most of the reviewers have mentioned. The front lobby appears nice and the staff were very friendly. However, although they maybe had some renovations, rooms still felt a little outdated and small. The bathrooms were small and you could definitely see the wear and tear on the ceiling of the shower and the shower head was very low for a standard bathroom shower. But what I really had an issue with was the way the hallways and rooms smelled it smelled like the hallways in a nursing home or hospital. Just very off putting every time walking through the halls to get to our room. Although, It was ok for a couple nights stay while visiting Williamsburg for a trip to Busch Gardens I was anxiously ready to check out to get to another hotel not in Williamsburg.

We had a few broken items in our room but other than that the stay was great. The staff was kind and helpful. The location to everything was my favorite part. We visit the area a few times a year and this will be our new hotel!!
