Homewood Suites by Hilton Wilmington Downtown

Staff was very welcoming upon check in. Room/bathroom were very clean. Ironing board cover was completely depleted. Found another way to iron my clothes that were wrinkled from travel. Hotel is located in a great area. Breakfast is decent but all the hot food was cold. Good stay, minor details could've made it better.

front desk staff greeted you like you are interrupting their day, no smile or greeting. Both the bathroom and entrance doors were unable to close easily.

Excellent property. Exactly what you would expect and hope for. Clean room, property overall was really new and well maintained, the breakfast was good and the Wi-Fi was great. Helpful staff and conveniently located on the river for a good view.

The hotel and the amenities are excellent. Breakfast could be better, it was even canceled without prior notice on one of the days I stayed there.

I was actually quite surprised as I typically stay at Hilton hotels and am usually very satisfied. The room apparently was not cleaned very well prior. There were dirty dishes in the dishwasher, a damp washcloth in the bathroom area and the bed was disheveled. Again I am not used to this at all.

We came for an overnight with our family (with kids). We stayed on the river side and it was a great stay. Plenty of space, great view, and very clean. We were not there long enough to take advantage of many of the amenities; but, they all looked great. It is close to everything-restaurants, the Riverwalk, baseball field! Very nice!

The bed was awful.

Paying for parking

The location was fabulous. The room had dirty Kleenex and dental floss near the bed when we walked in.

Great location near downtown situated on the waterfront adjacent to restaurants. Newer hotel, but room was not clean and we were short towels. Charged for parking, but there was limited space and parked in adjacent lot and had to walk to entrance.

The hotel does charge a daily fee for parking, so it's something to keep in mind. While there isn't a pool, the location more than makes up for it. There's a beautiful riverfront trail just steps away that's perfect for a walk, with several great places to eat within a short distance along the trail. Overall, I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely recommend this hotel for its cleanliness, excellent staff, and convenient riverside location.

The riverview room was awesome for us. However, I was surprised how aged the furniture was for a hotel built in 2019. The breakfast was horrible. Food was undercooked, wet, and cold. We had to buy breakfast since it was not edible.

The breakfast was standard but the staff was exceptional! Everything was prepared timely and offered for the posted time frames. Not applicable.

Not enough parking ended up in the overflow lot both nights

Super short walking distance to the chase convention center was a plus. Wish there was a pool and more parking.

The first floor back of the hotel on the deck was lots of cigarette butts with lots of people sometimes smoking cigarettes or weeds!

The first floor back of the hotel was a deck full of cigarette butt on the ground, most of the time with the people who smoke cigarettes or even obviously weeds! That was disturbing! Most of all, when many guests bring children with them in the hotel, they will see that atmosphere, and that strong sense of smoking is very very disgusting for today and in our time that is everywhere become smoke-free, except back of this beautiful hotel

The location was charming because it is on the riverwalk and the hotel is just off highway. We had a beautiful suite with a fantastic view. This was a great place to walk our dog. Our Uber Eats dinner never got to us. Someone stole it. We traveled all day arrived around 7pm, ordered food and it was delivered at 8:30 but not to us. Someone in lobby area took it. Then it was too late to order again. Ruined our entire experience. Not hotel fault. Breakfast was low average. Turkey bacon only… gross and the eggs and potatoes were bland.

Good stay

The hotel is fine for the most part but the breakfast was lacking and on my second day there was no breakfast available
