Country Inn & Suites by Radisson, Wilmington, NC

The place was very run down from the pictures we booked the hotel for the nice pool they had a picture of and it was closed we weren’t made aware of that at time of booking. Our door also wouldn’t close right and kept getting stuck unless you slammed it shut or pushed really hard to get it open. It seemed like at one point the door had been kicked in or damaged in some way. The staff were very respectful and nice but there wasn’t much they could do to make the stay more enjoyable since the facility itself wasn’t that nice. As well as those issues with the room we didn’t have hot water until about 30 minutes of running the shower and the water pressure was much to be desired. The last strike for the place was the room itself just had a musk smell to it, almost as if it was not cleaned in a while or had moisture or mold of some kind. For 170 dollars this place was not it I would only stay at a place like this again if it was under 100 dollars. If you see this review heed my warnings and just book something else even a cheaper hotel will be better than this one.

The first room assigned to us had a strong smoke odor, and we had to request the hotel management several times before they provided an alternative room. Additionally, the swimming pool was out of service during our stay, which was disappointing. However, the breakfast was enjoyable, with a good selection and quality of food.

Our room smelled of smoke, and they weren’t able to move us. The furniture in our room was ripped and worn. The carpets were stained and frayed throughout the hotel. There was a broken window on the first floor that was covered by a trash bag. The cleaning staff were actually able to get the room somewhat clean, in spite of everything, but that’s a difficult job when management/ownership are content with just letting the place fall apart. This is what I would expect a $60/night hotel to look like, but we paid over $200. Just horrible.

The wifi was spotty depending on your room in the hotel.

The room was fairly clean but the hallways and stairs were so filthy- stained carpets and smelly. The pool was “ closed for maintenance “ but we never saw anyone maintain it! There were people lying in the hallways on the floor. It made us so uncomfortable. We checked out 2 days earlier and the front desk guy was so rude. I’ve called twice to get a refund and haven’t reached anyone. Don’t stay here

I know it's summer, but not having the pool was disappointing. Also, it would be nice to have something that shows us what channels are which on the TV. Surely you can spend a few bucks to print up a list?

First, this hotel is in desperate need of an upgrade/refresh. I've stayed at Country Inn & Suites before and they are usually well kept but this one was not. The room was clean but very old furniture and we found bugs in our room. The shower pressure was not the greatest and because of it, it leaked a lot of water on the floor. The breakfast was good. I would suggest having butter at room temperature. Parking was fine. Also, here it is summer and the pool is not working? The timing was not good as I was hoping to get in the pool due to the extreme heat. Unfortunately I cannot recommend this hotel and do not plan to return unless it's renovated.

Dead bugs in room.Broken fabric on chair.Earwig in room.No wake up call as requested.Put in handicap room.Never asked for.Just an overall bad experience.Inner door had big gap around knob as well.I only stayed one night and left.I would like a refund for the rest of our stay.

The furniture was ratty and the place had a run down vibe to it. I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves.

There was trash left in the room from the previous tenants. I reported it to the front desk and she said she would have housekeeping come clean it. They never came and cleaned one single time during our stay, which was 5 days 4 nights. They never emptied the trash, they never restarted coed our towels, rags, mats. They never came and cleaned anything during the stay. I reported multiple things multiple times and was informed they would take care of it but never did. At one point they said they would give me the trash bags and I could change them. The pool was also not open, they could not give a reason as to why, even though it is peak season in the summer. I also found a roach bait pack on the top shelf in the main closet. I spoke with the main desk about all of these issues but yet no resolutions were provided. I have stayed here in the past and enjoyed it but this time ruined my family from staying here in the future.

Carpet is very dirty and room is ok

There was mold in the bathroom. There was spill in the lobby that was left all day and overnight until housekeeping came the next morning. There were loud guest next door and the staff did nothing after it was reported to them. I almost had to call the police because the people were screaming that loudly.

The staff was very friendly at this location, however, the room was dirty. There was hair on the bathroom floor and on the wall in the shower. The comforter looked like it had makeup or something on it. The floor had not been vacuumed and the rug was dirty in general. The toilet was very hard to flush. The shower head sprayed water in every direction. I was very glad to leave and happy that I only spent one night.
