Hotel Lela Wilmington, Tapestry Collection By Hilton

Check in is listed at 3 PM, and we arrived at 4 PM, only to the front desk to advise that our room wasn’t ready yet. She said it would be another 30 to 45 minutes. I thought I was mistaken about the check-in time, so I checked with her if 3 PM was indeed the check-in time. She said yes, but that is pending that the room is ready for you. I was a little confused because I had never experienced this at any of the several hotels that I had ever stayed at, but coming back, we are finally able to get checked in and when the same front desk associate was explaining the amenities, she was not sure whether or not breakfast was free or not, which I thought was confusing because I feel that’s information that you should know if you’re working the front desk and you have to say the exact same spiel to every person that is checking in. Then we get to our room, start unpacking, getting settled in, because we had to wait additional time to check in that delayed our dinner plans only to find out that we were not able to shower because the sliding shower door was jammed and we literally had to use the sink to freshen up as much as possible, I contacted the front desk, she said she would send someone up because we cannot get the shower open. We waited an hour while we were getting ready and even time afterwards, no one show. We were gone five hours and no one came to fix our shower. I called the front desk again. Finally, someone came to slightly fix the door. We had to shower at almost 12am

It was an okay stay however I can tell the property is not well maintained. Dirty carpets, no shelving in the shower, vents blowing dirt fluff, disinfectant globs on the desk, etc.

I wish the pool was heated though….was unable to get in because the water was too cold. Shame because the facilities were beautiful.

Double charged me for the room. Had to reach out multiple times and still haven't gotten in touch with them to fix charges.

It would have been nice to have our coffee in the room refreshed everyday so we didn’t have to walk down to get coffee every morning. Also even if they aren’t changing sheets there is something about coming back to a made bed in a hotel that is so nice! They wiped down the counters and refreshed only some of the towels, but making the bed would be an extra plus

The rooms and property were very neat and clean. Also the staff was great and helpful, will definitely be back

Clean rooms and very modern feel. Loved the pillows. I typically have a hard time sleeping in hotels.

Everything by the pool including the pool was filthy. The cushions are gross and pool was sandy.

Clean cute boutique style, excellent breakfast, wonderful and accommodating staff. Location is not the best but it is near downtown and safe.

I’ve been staying consistently there the last couple of weeks for work. I love the hotel restaurant Ashton was great at the bar. Front desk staff have always been helpful and hotel is safe and great location.

It was perfect for a family vacation, hotel was very nice, room were a great size. The pool area was amazing. Will definitely go back
