Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Wilmington-University Ctr by IHG

Every hotel door slams shut. All you hear during the morning and evening are doors slamming. The noise in the hallway is excessive. There is no sound barrier between the hallways and the room. Good luck sleeping late.

My first night at the hotel.. My electronic keys to the door did not work. The desk clerk insisted that someone was inside of my room with the safety lock on.. He attempted to re-activate my key cards and that didn't work either.. I slept in my car the first night until the next shift came in to work.. The day manager assisted me and stated that the door battery was dead. She had the door fixed and my next night of sleep was excellent. I would like to be reimbursed for my first night at the hotel..

Room had broken door handles, dirty coffee maker and only 1 towel. Breakfast was good for the family.

Clean, friendly staff, quiet, good breakfast. No problems.

Well lit and safe, clean

The rooms were exceptionally clean, comfortable mattresses/bedding and house cleaning did a great job thoroughly cleaning our room. I wish that staff would use the pool robot cleaning system during the night after pool is closed versus during the day when everyone would like to use it.

great breakfast, quiet location, convenient. loved the pool toys bathroom lighting is awful, pool could've used a quick skim. Bed, while seemingly comfy, left my back sore

pretty clean facility, the bed was comfortable. I wish they had earlier check in & now I know to go ahead & ask for a later check out before the list reaches capacity..I like how it is fairly close to the beach it wasn’t anything i didn’t really like other than not knowing about the later check out list

Check-in was easy and quick. Room was clean and spacious. Although the property had some serious staffing issues, we were not affected. Would stay again!

Location Noisy

Location was great near a lot of things we can enjoy

Very noisy at night. Loud voices and slamming of doors in the hall. This hotel is overpriced for its location and amenities.

We get to check in and the employee stated that since it was a third party they didnt have communication. I pulled up my email between holiday inn, not booking.com and informed her that was incorrect. She never apologized, just said "this is what we have." Rude, and didnt offer to help solve the problem.

Room darkening shades would have been nice with the floodlights in the parking lot, but we didn't need a nightlight, LOL

Breakfast was delicious Everything was great

Beds were great! Room was clean! Some things needed to be fixed, the table between the beds was about to fall off, better toilet paper if possible and toilet kept running, had to giggle the handle for it to stop

Convenient location, helpful staff, clean, complete breakfast! Would recommend to others.
