Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Winston-Salem Downtown

Staff was nice didnt want to complain but our refund got declined. We intended on staying the evening here and when we arrived Staff was polite and helpful however the property was in bad shape hallway carpet was coming off and stains everywhere. When we got into our room there was stains leading to bedroom on floor and wallpaper coming off wall. Our comforters had what I could only guess was dried blood in 3 different spots. There was sticky clear liquid on the bed stand by phone and decided to leave and stay at a different hotel at 11pm. I have never left a hotel during a stay however I couldn't stay there after what I saw.

Dated, slow service at front desk, didn’t get the type of room I booked so had to share a bed. Icing on the cake: pubic hair in the shower, and not just one or two hairs. Never again.

One of the worst hotels I’ve ever stayed in, the hallways were filthy and our room was never cleaned the three nights we were there. Breakfast was not appealing, and staff was not help. Please stay somewhere else.

Rooms are very clean; shower and bathroom were very clean also. Breakfast is what you need to start your day and the women working breakfast was very pleasant keep the food and coffee supplied. all the staff were very pleasant and helpful if in the area again this I will stay here. Parking not to bad garage is across the street but the street is not a busy one. Parking Garage drawback is spaces are very tight for large SUV or Pickup truck.

We were very pleased with our stay. Staff was helpful and friendly, breakfast offered good variety, and hotel was conveniently located.

Stayed multiple times…great value

We were here for a wedding. The only problem is the room coffee pot did not work. I brought it to the desk and it was never replaced. We stayed 3 nights. I believe this was for the other room I reserved for our son.

The breakfast spread was excellent; the server kept the food areas clean and filled the trays when needed. Great service, friendly staff, and great food and drinks at the bar. The room was clean upon arrival, bathroom just needed newer towels and bathtub.

Room was sort of comfortable but lacked closet space. The coffee bar in the lobby was very nice. The breakfast was EXCELLENT. The staff was always very responsive and cheerful. We had trouble with the TV. Somehow the wires were crossed. I went to the main desk and a maintenance worker came within minutes to fix it. There is a lovely outdoor sitting area with a fireplace. Great sitting out there. Coffee pot in the room wouldn't work. I took it to the main desk and they had no spares and never replaced it so every morning I went to get coffee in my night gown. The room closet was too small especially with the ironing board and iron in it. We were there for a wedding and it was very challenging to get our clothes hung up. I don't like that the blankets are tucked in so that you can't cover yourself with the blanket because it is too short.

Everything was good, except when I entered my room the air was off. It was very hot, it was uncomfortable as I wanted to relax after my flight. The employees were very professional and attentive :)

Check in was fine There were carpet beetle/bed bugs in my bed and hotel did not take my claim seriously. When returning home I found a bug near my luggage and it turned into an infestation at my home that I am still dealing with eliminating. I also contacted the hotel management as well.

Location was good, clean facility, variation in breakfast Nothing special was done for my birthday even though I mentioned it not even suggestions. Bottled waters in room too small

Trying to understand why I was charged for parking at a place I’m paying to stay at

Location was convenient, staff were friendly, hotel was clean and breakfast had a lot of options. Parking deck is right behind hotel. Would be nice if the room rate included parking.
