Love the breakfast, happy hour, and cookies and milk. The staff is always great. The room is nice and the beds are comfortable. Really miss the kitty cat though.

A unique and charming hotel in Winston-Salem. We were greeted by a warm and welcoming front desk staff. Daily wine and cheese and nightly cookies and milk - were charming details. Our room was huge and historic - with high ceilings, a fireplace and a brick office to the side of the room. A small lighted staircase connected our room to the bathroom and the large sunken bathtub/shower required some dexterity to enter and no hand bars to help steady. All unique and charming details but older guests might ask for rooms that are more accessible.

Love the property; have stayed there several times. Very comfortable and welcoming, great staff, lovely special touches like wine and cheese and cookies and milk. The internet access was terrible, and not password protected. My cell service, usually 100%, had difficulty in this location. They’ve also changed their TV service to a fairly complicated system that folks unfamiliar with this type of service will have difficulty with it. I don’t want to have to study a Tv system to have local channels, news, etc., readily available.

Mattress in room 156 needs to be replaced - terrible sag in the middle. Furniture in room was pretty tired. This property was a bit of a disappointment - reviews made it sound like it was something special - it was not and breakfast was also nothing special - just passable.

It is a beautifully designed and executed reuse of an early factory building, located near interesting sites and the downtown area.

Loved the location, the historic background, the spacious room, the very friendly staff and the extensive bfast choices. Happy hour was nice too. Would have preferred a king bed v a queen in that large room, but the bed and bedding were very comfortable.

They go above and beyond with a wonderful breakfast buffet, cheese and wine and then warm cookies in the evening!!
