Homewood Suites by Hilton Reading

It was a good value price wise. The whole place needs to be refurbished. Furniture is sevearly sratched and chipped. Bathroom ceiling was falling down. Both faucets sprayed all over the countertop and sprayed all over me. Breakfast was plentiful. Front desk was nice but clerk couldn't figure out how to print my bill.

Great location, furnitures are a bit old and parts of the room had dust on the refrigerator. But overall good location and great staff.

The manager Ryan and desk personnel Elizabeth were perfect. The Hilton computer system wide went down. They managed the situation perfectly since there were quite a few families that couldn’t check in.

Was unable to get an advertised anti slip mat. Hotel had computer malfunction and allowed another guest to enter my hotel room. My key then didnt work because of mishap. Gfci outlets tripped every time coffee pot turned on. Toilet stopped flushing.

Easy to access location with plenty of restaurants and retail around. Safe, well lit with plenty of parking. Breakfast was plentiful, tasty and staff was very friendly. Unfortunately, this was the least enjoyable Homewood Suites we have stayed at. The sheets were stained and wrinkled, there was hair on the bathroom floor, and the room did not appear to have been thoroughly cleaned. Additionally, the plumbing fixtures in the tub appeared to have been poorly caulked, leaving the repair looking very unprofessional and botched. Overall, the condition of the room made our stay uncomfortable and disappointing. On a positive note, the location was very convenient, there was plenty of parking, and the staff was friendly. However, the cleanliness and upkeep were well below expectations, and for that reason, I would not recommend this hotel.

Loved everything only 2 things I didn’t like , 1 that the pool don’t get clean every day , & 2 the towels are like limited other then that loved it and would be back soon ☺️🙏💙

We enjoyed the pool, the location, the staff was friendly and the room appeared to be updated decor. 1) When I arrived, I waited about 5 minutes before anyone helped me at the desk (no one was there). She then appeared and told me, she'd be there right. I waited about another 5 minutes until someone helped me. I was patient, amd figured she must be busy doing something in the back. 2) We then had to wait for a room! I arrived at 3:50 (50 minutes after check in time!). So I waited about another 15 mins for the room. 3) we finally got in the room, and I noticed the bedding was NOT CLEAN! There were obvious bodily fluid stains on the sheets and hairs. It was disgusting. In all of my life being at hotels, I've never run into the problem before. The cover on the bed also had other stains, reddish brown on it. I called down and the phone wasn't working right! I finally get in touch and she sends someone up. That person comes about 15 mins later. Cleaning lady is nice. Redoes the bedding (which obviously was not changed earlier while we were waiting for our room to get ready). 3) There was black mold in the ceiling of the bathroom. A lot! 4) Our A/C was not working well, so it was very hot and uncomfortable to sleep. Pur thermostat said 79 degrees. I called down and she let me check out another room (a floor up) and that was even hotter, so we stayed in our original room. It was very hot out that day so I understand, but no fans were available and it should not have been that hot in a room. The staff was friendly and tried to be helpful, but the wait times, the dirty/unsanitary conditions, and uncomfortable room made this a very disappointing stay to say the least!! I've stayed in many other hotels and have never had this experience ever before. I was very unhappy and question whether I'll continue to book homewood suites again. I sent the front desk pictures of the bedding and the black mold in the bathroom.

The rooms were gorgeous and spacious. Staff was friendly and helpful. My only complaint would be breakfast. No kid cereal, chocolate milk, or hard boiled eggs. The food they did have was good but selection could have been better.
