Local area is a little sketchy. Don't recommend walking at night by yourself.

Hotel & area is beautiful. The hotel gives the historic feeling and vibe. The hotel cleanliness is not so great. House keeping could definitely do better with cleaning. Didn’t get a chance to try the food on the rooftop bar because they had no chef. Other than that the stay was pretty good

The property is a pleasant place to stay and the workers are all friendly.

Historic downtown we are history meshes with modern amenities. We came for Spartan day at York College, where my son will be a new student in the fall. After a long ride, how lovely it was to enter this extremely spacious Room with old time charm. Lots of details and thought put into the aesthetics of this landmark hotel.. price is unbelievable, we didn’t have time to stay for breakfast or to check out the rooftop lounge but now I know where will be staying every time we visit over the next four years!

This hotel is gorgeous design wise; a true architectural beauty that pays hommage to heritage design and flanked with modern touches. Everything was spotless and felt like a complete upgrade. The lobby is breathtaking upon arrival and our room did not disappoint. This Hilton made sure that the feeling is anything but generic. The staff was more than accommodating. They were so attentive to every need for food, site seeing etc,. I would be excited to make this my stay in York exclusively. Thank you Yorktowne!

Great location. Rooms are clean and spacious. The atmosphere is beautiful but also calm and quiet when needed. We were upset to find the rooftop bar is closed Sunday-Monday. While we would have been fine not having a drink, we still wish they’d keep the rooftop open for lounging or simply looking out at downtown. It’s heavily advertised so I feel like whether the bar is available or not, it’s an amenity that should be open throughout the day for those staying. Felt like part of the draw to stay was taken away.

Jen at the front desk was sooo helpful with a printing job I needed to do for work! The lobby bar is so attractive with late night service. The rooftop bar affords spectacular views on a clear sunny night! Everything convenient and staff so kind!

The Yortowne Hotel is absolutely gorgeous. It also sits in the heart of the city. This spot has an abundance of restaurants as well as historic signage in various spots. A real gem of a restaurant is The White Rose offering great seafood choices. The staff at the restaurant and hotel are top notch with a customer friendly attitude.

The lady at the front desk was fabulous! I'm sorry I didn't get her name but she was an mature woman with beautiful white hair. We were there for our 40th wedding anniversary and she stopped us the next day and asked us how everything was and asked us about our trip. She even walked us outside to show us parking because I was turned around in the building when we checked in. LOL She was so sweet. What a great way to start your stay with such a great front desk person! The breakfast was a little disappointing. The omelette had a funky taste and the prices were a bit high for a breakfast. I probably wouldn't eat breakfast at the hotel again.
