Beds were very old and squeaky. Air conditioning was very loud. Nice place for the price.

Nice new clean hotel that has everything you need in close proximity to the mall and downtown!

Room carpet was a little damp and smelt like play doh.

While we only received full housekeeping once in 4 nights, they did provide fresh towels as requested Negatives: The tub/shower controls made it very difficult to regulate the water pressure and the temperature. Either too hot or too cold, and when you were trying to get it right, the flow would reduce. The diverter valve on the tub spout was very difficult to use- I was concerned about pulling off the entire spout because of the force required to use it. I reported this multiple times over 4 nights and got no resolution. While the room has liquid shampoo and conditioner dispensers on the wall, there is no body wash. Instead, they provide 2 little disks of soap about the size of a silver dollar. The air conditioning was loud and hard to control the temperature. My niece’s family stayed in a separate room. They reported that the bedding was dirty. This may sound picky, but nothing says cheap like providing plastic food utensils so thin and flimsy that the bent in half when trying to use them for regular breakfast food. I reported these problems to the front desk, but none were resolved. I eventually got an apology from the manager, but nothing else!

Looks good from the outside but getting run down inside. Comforter cover had stains on it. Freezer part of the fridge was broken off and hanging in the way.

The towels in the bathroom had stains on them. There were several hairs in the shower before we used it. When we pulled the sheets back to get into bed there were a lot of hairs in the sheets. We slept on top of the bedding which also had stains on it. We had to pay$25 for a cot and when it was delivered the sheets were also stained with what looked like blood. Unfortunately my teenage son didn’t notice until I pointed it out the next morning. The WiFi wouldn’t work while we were there. The lobby had an extremely strong air freshener that made it hard to be in there. The staff did give us a gift bag for Oshkosh which was a nice gesture. Overall I’d stay away from this hotel. It needs updated and more attention paid to laundry and cleanliness.

Although the hotel doesn’t provide an airport shuttle, it’s only a short drive from Appleton Airport. There is also a paid shuttle service that runs between Appleton and the EAA AirVenture grounds during the event, which made getting to and from the airshow very convenient. Breakfast wasn’t as extensive as I expected, but the scrambled eggs were surprisingly good. The bed was comfortable, and I appreciated the small welcome bag with snacks and bottled water for AirVenture guests. The hotel also lends out folding chairs for guests attending the airshow, although I wasn’t able to borrow one because they had all been checked out. My biggest complaint was the bathroom. The shower curtain was far too short, and there was no barrier to keep the water inside the shower, so the bathroom floor became completely soaked every time I showered. I honestly don’t understand why it was designed that way. The bathroom could also use a little more attention. The toilet wasn’t completely clean, there was some rust on the wall near the shower, and the conditioner dispenser was nearly empty. One disappointing experience was with a housekeeping staff member. As a person of color, I greeted her with a simple “Good morning,” but she completely ignored me even though there was no indication that she didn’t understand English. I can’t know her reason, but it left me feeling unwelcome.
