Hampton Inn Appleton-Fox River Mall Area

We stayed on the second floor of the hotel. We arrived and the bathroom had small black hair and it wasn't very clean. The window had an awning out front and all you could see were rocks. It made the room dark. I think this room needs to be connected to another room.

Clean room, very friendly staff, good breakfast. I appreciated the coffee in the lobby.

Loved this hotel, even worked with me to check out a bit later before attending a wedding in the area, will definitely stay here again:)

Breakfast was good. Location was great for us to meet with friends and family. The road construction which you have no control of.

We were not told upfront what the dog charge was. We were not given a bill when we checked out. Always ask them for an itemized bill because when we got home and I called our credit card co, we had erroneous charges on our bill. It took us several days to get everything straightened out for the extra charges.

Great stay, however they do not have smart tv's. The place just feels a bit dated. Like a stay in 2005. Also im not a fan of not having my own personal lotion, shower gel, shampoo etc.

Only complaint was that the coffee offered in the lobby was cold and when I brought it to the desk clerk’s attention he seemed annoyed even though I told him it was not a big deal to me but thought he might want to know.

Loud guests above us, breakfast poor, minimal selections, shade in room would not rise.

Location was great. Easy access to what we needed. I woke to red spots on my legs, side and back. I'm not sure what bit me but something did. I'm hoping not bed bugs.

Check in was fast and efficient. Hot tub and pool were great. Our room was kinda noisy. The vent in the bathroom from the wind, I think. The refrigerator was quite noisy. The exit door nearest or room did not lock. It said you needed a key to enter but the lock did not work. I did notify the front desk when we checked out. No variation in breakfast over the 3 days that we stayed. Scrambled eggs are boring and just ok. I felt like both days of them was a bit much.

The hotel was fine, however the staff allowed their dinning and lobby to be turned into a hair salon. There were a group of about 7 preteens girls that had, brushes, gel, hair ties, doing piggy tail, French braids and had blonde hair everywhere and their mother brushing their hair there as well. Was completely unsanitary. You had a hair salon at the very entrance of the hotel they would also bump into you as they were doing each other’s hair and so you couldn’t eat in peace specially you know having it be at eight or 9 AM not OK. Worst part parents were providing comments as such as “nice that looks great” “oh my God you did a great job.” And having no awareness of others in that space along with people cutting and line the wall machine and it being super crowded for that many people.

Definitely will stay again!!
