Clean, right off of I-77.

When we got to the hotel for our reservation, I was asked if I had a non-smoking room and I said yes I do and had a daughter in a wheelchair. I told told her I needed the two double beds so I could not get a handicap room! She went up to make sure the room was big enough. Then she came down and gave me the keys to go up to the room on the second floor. when I opened the door The smell of smoke was overwhelming. I was told that people in the room before us were really bad smokers and they tried to wash the walls and everything and she’s sorry that it still smells so I paid over $200 for room that stunk smoke when I was supposed to get a non-smoking room. I will never stay here again.

2nd stay there, great low frills place to stay. Good location for New River Gorge and local places.

Nice hotel to stop at on our way to Virginia.

Desk staff was fantastic!!!

It was clean enough, staff were helpful in finding a restaurant. When we checked in, there was no fresh regular coffee in the lobby and the decaf that was offered was not hot; actually it bordered on cold. Parking was ok.

Unfortunately, the bathroom floor and shower were dirty when we arrived. Cleanliness is one of the most important aspects of the stay, so this was very disappointing. I hope the motel improves its housekeeping standards.

Didn’t like the television

The desk staff at check in was great, she was very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean, great condition. I would stay there again.

It was a stopover on a long trip. the staff was friendly and helpful, the room was clean and it was quiet so i could get some good sleep to continue my trip.

We had to ask for new blankets as one of the beds had stains all over it. In the bathroom, there was hair on the floor and the toilet lid was gross. I had to clean it myself. When going to breakfast the items were burnt in the lobby smelled awful. Overall, the only reason I would go back is because the front desk was so kind and so was the one housekeeper.

Hotel is in a fantastic location to see many local sites and the New River Gorge. The staff are friendly. The WiFi is sketchy and cuts out a lot, and the breakfast is more than a little underwhelming. Breakfast is supposed to be served until 10 am, but we got there at 8:30 am and there was nothing much to eat. The coffee is machine coffee, but there are Keurig machines in the rooms - so you can bring your own coffee.

There were not any pool towels when we arrived and we had to use the bath towels. The staff did apologize and give us extra bath towels. The inside of the property has been updated and we stayed here because of the good reviews via hotels.com However a few things I would have also wanted to know before staying or booking: The furniture and rooms were updated but their policies were not. While we were swimming in the pool, there were numerous adults out by the pool smoking and drinking because the approved smoking area was RIGHT beside the pool. This wasn’t great for my small children. Also, the breakfast area is very small and could not really handle the capacity of visitors that were in the hotel the night we visited. Also, this hotel is RIGHT next door to an establishment that advertises itself as an adult entertainment and video and lottery parlor. That establishment “top five” has boarded up windows and doors and apparently was the victim of an armed robbery in 2015. Obviously, Comfort Inn cannot control what businesses are next door, but I would have liked to read this review and know this before I chose this hotel for my family.

The lady at the front desk was very friendly. The room and lobby was so clean. I usually don't sleep well when I travel but I slept like a baby there.

Nice, clean, and convenient

The room and bed was extremely comfortable. We were in a hurry so didn’t have a chance to try the breakfast, but I did grab a bagel, apple and a cup of coffee on the way out. A great stay for a quick night in the mountains of WV.
