Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites Beckley by IHG

This Holiday Inn is clean, safe and professionally staffed. I enjoy my visits every time I travel to Beckley and the food is simply delicious.

Excellent safe hotel

Staff was friendly, helpful and very welcoming. Our handicap accessible room was spacious and quiet. Perfect stay on our travels.

It was clean, easy to access from the highway, and reasonably priced.

Hotel cancelled reservation because they could not pre-authorize card even though I selected pay at property. I was not contacted and had no idea until I arrived to check in. The hotel ended up being full and I was without a reservation because they gave my room away.

Everything about this holiday inn was great.

Location Our TV in room #102 needs replaced or at a minimum repaired.

It was updated and clean. The property was great and close to restaurants; however, the room above mine had guests with small children who were running and jumping until 2:00 a.m. This obviously made sleep difficult. The front desk was contacted, but it did not good.

The main desk staff could have been a little more friendly and welcoming.

This room (#301) Suite, 1 King Bed with Sofa Bed, was pricey and it was dirty, worn with mismatched/missing furniture, bad/inadequate lighting (maybe to hide how dirty it was), and missing basic things that the kitchen should have (like dish soap, a dishtowel, paper towels). The bathtub floor had that non-slip surface that was black. Very gross. The hand soap in the bathroom was completely empty. In the workout room, the sanitary towels used to wipe down the equipment were completely dried out. Stayed two nights, and wore my slides or shoes the entire time. If we hadn't been so tired from the drive the first night, and/or arrived during the day, I would have asked for/demanded for a different room. Unfortunately, I think all the rooms, have been neglected in this property (except for the downstairs conference room area which is like a completely different hotel). The whole experience was a step above a campground. The cost of the room was high, and I assumed that meant the quality would be there. I was sadly mistaken. This chain has lost any future business from me. Too many other choices to risk it.

Bar restaurants area was awesome. Watch the Buffalo sabers beat Montreal 8-3 with ice people we met. Pool area was very clean and the grounds were beautifully kept

The dishes in the room included 2 knives, 1 fork and 1 coffee mug. Should have been fully outfited with 4 of each. Food offered was mediocre and the restaurant offerings were minimal. Accomodations were comfortable

People are nice.

It looks like a new or newly renovated property. The rooms are big and clean. It was our first trip to West Virginia and we loved it. We were a bit nervous as a Black family because we didn't think West Virginia had any Black people, but the people were extremely nice lol.
