Sonesta ES Suites Allentown Bethlehem Airport

Picked Sonseta because ive stayed at numerous Sonsenta properties in which I always had a great experience but this one wasn’t as great. Check in was fine but pool was not working and was told housekeeping wasn’t done everday in which you could notice cause as soon as we got into building carpets were gross, smell was a mixture of wet dog and weed/smoke yet its a non smoking property. Once in the room carpet was half torn up, office chair was broken couch cushions ripped and the room smelled like sweat and onions. Dont expect to much on the breakfast cause all it was, was burnt french toast , burnt eggs and burnt turkey sausages with a limited amount of bagels and some cereal. Was there for 3 nights in which 2 of them the pool wasnt working then once it was working you can tell it was just rushed to be opened the water was still murky and had the moldy stains around the pool its self. Overall it was not very pleasant.

Dislikes: Too many dogs, with always some barking from room when a person passes. Also, while the property is smoke free people constantly congregate outside first floor door and smoke (cigs and/or weed) which then wafts into building BECAUSE DOOR NEAR THE 130S ROOMS IS LEFT AJAR MOST OF THE TIME…WHICH IS ALASO AN UNADDRESSED SAFETY ISSUE.

Pool was dirty rug was dirty the hallway smelled horrible. Pull out couch as full of trash in the mattress and the mattress was old the springs were showing

Ok pool closed for the entire stay rooms were supposed to have dishes and pots to cook none room was filthy had to clean be fore I would have my grandchildren even enter very bad experience all round

The pool pump was not working, the room was not clean, and the people were messy and not organized workers. They did not know my room reservation, and they kicked us out. recipicnest, rooms and pool

The pool was closed, which sucked, the carpet looked dirty and the halls smelled like cigarettes. I am glad I was just in and out and didnt have to spend much time inside the hotel, otherwise this review would have been much worst.

It had black spots on the rug on the 3rd floor. No maintenance no where to be found and smoking was done in the room. The front desk clerk could not distinguish between a comforter or a mattress cover. The breakfast was cold or they did not have any.

Spacious room, but generally dirty. The hallways smelled like smoke and pets. Lots of carpet everywhere. Not very updated. The room had a kitchenette. The tub was oddly shaped so that water would stand in the middle of the tub after showering. The hotel is really a converted apartment building. Staff was helpful and nice and breakfast was decent. Would skip this one next time.

The hallway rugs were stained, and dirty. The same used bandaid and other garbage were on the floor for two days. The hallway carpeting could use a shampooing or a replacement. Additionally the hallways were not vacuumed during our weekend stay. The elevator floor was extremely dirty and could use a mopping. The couch in room 210A had major stains on it. The garbage was overflowing with guests food outside building A. The same garbage sat for 3 days outside the building and was not cleaned up. There was a horrible smell of smoke during late evening hours for some reason. The front desk girl on both Saturday and Sunday was unpleasant and not very attentive. The outdoor pool was cloudy and green making it undesirable to swim. Luckily we had plans all three days of our stay. The breakfast was from 7:30-9:30 and was just meh. It was about 8:30 when we went down. The assortment of bread was not replenished and there was no cream cheese at this time. Additionally, I had to ask for hard-boiled eggs, as they were not replenished at this time either. We've stayed at this hotel twice and not sure we will return.

the room was great Overall it was good, except for the breakfast, the eggs were over cooked and the sausage was under cooked. The decor on the floors are terrible, the rug was so ugly

The furniture and carpet appeared to be in bad condition. The sheets were rough not crisp and smooth.

Room was filthy. Had to change hotels
