Room wasn't well-cleaned: dirt/crumbs on carpet, smudges on surfaces, TV remote had food particles on its face even though it was in a bag implying that it'd been cleaned, hair in the bathroom

Great front desk and cafe team My room was truly filthy. Crumbs and dried liquids in the fridge, and around fridge, both areas we needed to use for my baby’s foods. So I had to clean and sanitize it myself and the cloths were black. As was the coffee bar, side tables and desk. Lights / fixtures had not been cleaned in ages and the shower was scratched/ icky. I did not sleep well because of the very poor cleaning job.

I always appreciate that courtyard by Marriott always have a small restaurant. After traveling all day it’s nice to get a bite without having to get in the car again

Good hotel. Maintained Very helpful front desk girl. Only complaint. House keeping. Our room when checked in had no bags in garbage cans, 1/2 used roll of toilet paper. Could tell bathroom shower has not had a good clean in corners in a long time. Tooth paste spatter on mirror. After 2 nights we asked for room to be cleaned. Didn't give us any toilet paper we ran out check out morning.. had to take some from a room that had already been vacated. The complimentary cups we had used in room had been put back dirty from our use. No new coffee pods. Vacuumed only in walking areas old stuff beside bed before and after. Anyway Everything else was good. Would of been great if housekeeping did there bare minimum job. We would of been totally happy.

During check-in, I noticed that the front desk manager gave every guest before and after me a small welcome gift bag, but I was the only one who did not receive one. When I asked why, he said it was only for loyalty members. However, I overheard two guests checking in after me say it was their first stay with this hotel brand, yet they still received the gift. Only after I questioned the manager did he quickly hand me one. The gift itself was insignificant. What bothered me was being treated differently. If the manager’s explanation was genuine, a simple statement like, “This is a welcome gift for our loyalty members,” would have avoided any misunderstanding. The second incident was even more disappointing. A plastic door-frame guard over two meters long suddenly fell off the wall and hit my four-year-old daughter. Thankfully she wasn’t injured, but she was frightened and cried. When I called the front desk, the employee never apologized, asked if she was okay, or showed any concern. He simply told me to leave the fallen piece outside the room and hung up. These experiences made me question the staff’s training and professionalism. Whether it was poor customer service or unconscious bias, no guest should leave a hotel feeling unwelcome. I hope management investigates these incidents and improves both employee training and customer service.
