The front desk lady was great both times we’ve been here. Last time we were on the 3rd floor and it wasn’t too bad, and the room was much cleaner. This time we stayed on the 1st floor, and the room was in much worse shape. The door handle was broken to the bathroom, the paint job looked fine in the dim lighting of the room, but if you had any other lighting you could see that a child would paint better. There was mold in the shower on the tiles-wiped away with a towel so it wasn’t a stain. Hair from prior guests. The general cleanliness was worse than last time, the pool area had black funk and hair buildup at the drains. Breakfast was ok, had a nice selection-waffles, sausage, biscuits and gravy, cereals, fruits-bananas had more brown and green than yellow. It was a disappointing stay even compared to our experience a year prior.

Very unique hotel! Clean and well-appointed. Staff were helpful and breakfast was good!

This hotel has friendly staff. They have self laundry in case you need it. The breakfast had quite a variety.
-
Unique vintage experience. The shower did not drain & there were only 2 towels for 4 guests.

I was not given the room I requested on the first night. However, the issue was promptly corrected, and I was moved to the requested room at no additional charge
-
it was roomy, quiet, clean. I had a good night's sleep and was ready to drive next day.

I grew up in central Illinois and always wanted to go to Jumers, but I was a kid. Now I’m not! So I booked a room for myself and my ten year old to fulfill my childhood whimsies and I was glad I did. We had fun at the pool and the room was comfy, clean and spacious. The only complaint is the hotel could use some maintenance

We love this hotel especially the swimming pool and the hot tub for the kids. My only complaint is the key system for the hotel room doors. It's a very old system and getting the key next to anything the slightest bit magnetic cancels it out. We spend lots of time going to the front desk to get it reactivated. Please update your key system!! Otherwise we love the château!

We enjoyed our stay. The hot tub and pool were a plus. The desk receptionist was very kind and engaged with my son. Great variety of food available for breakfast. Overall great stay!

The staff was helpful and friendly. Quite a variety at breakfast. The food was well maintained. A kitchen person was available to help if needed.

It has nice pool but open 7-1 pm so very limited access even in hot summer days one can not swim after a long hot and a very humid day. Gym is clean but no drinking water. Please do not take the rooms in the first floor. I had encounter at least 2 spiders. The second one was big and scary. Not sure if they have poisonous ones around this area of the country but had a panic attack. They did change me the 3rd day but it was really painful to shift room w all the stuff. Breakfast is average hotel breakfast.

When I was asking for a printed receipt upon check out, the employee at the desk was distracted by personal text messages on her phone.

This place was awesome! Genuinely different!! I would spend ti.e here again.

I loved the architecture of the hotel. It was pleasant, lobby was nice with the side area that had like a fireplace. Breakfast has options but I would suggest the eggs not be so watery. And more varied because even last year when I stayed there, it was scrambled watery eggs every morning Something I did notice is that the bedding is very old. I stayed in a room with 2 beds so when I laid on one that had a sheet very fuzzy, I was able to just use the other bed. So yeah, maybe it’s time to replace old bed sheets

Overall, our experience was okay. However, wherever you turn, you notice little things . . . a loose shower handle, exposed nuts/bolts at the base of the toilet, etc. Simple maintenance issues that differentiate a down-at-the-heels hotel from a good property. As for room service, we never broke the code on which days our room might be made up. Better hotels tell you what you might expect at check-in. The hotel breakfast was no better or worse than that offered by the chains. On the plus side, the kitchen staff did a good job of mixing the seven or so hot dish choices so that you were not seeing the same combination on a daily basis.

The property is unique and somewhat unusual because of its distinctive design outside and inside. The interior decorative design and furniture is very interesting. The amenities are excellent, the rooms are very clean, the new mirrors with lights and new showers are wonderful, the front desk staff is kind, the bar is open to 9:00 pm and serves food, the pool and fitness room are spectacular, and their breakfast is great. I highly recommend this property for your next stay in the Bloomington/ Normal area. I only wish they would offer incentives for students and families of ISU students

We traveled for eight days. This is the best motel we ever been in. The staff was excellent. Micah was the greatest. The front desk were really kind. The food was great if we travel again we’ll probably go right back there.
