Boston Marriott Long Wharf

We did a family vacation and the hotel was clean and located in a very convenient and beautiful part of Boston. We were able to walk from the hotel to most of the museums and sites and the ferries are right next to the hotel. We enjoyed the buffet breakfast and amenities, including viewing areas of the harbor.

Absolutely beautiful hotel

This hotel is the most amazing I’ve ever stayed in. I’m now officially committed to the Marriott hotels. I stayed in one in Charlotte last night and the employees in the are amazing at every location. It’s very clean and they will go above and beyond to help you.

Confortable rooms and great location (1) upon arrival, we were informed that there was a $35/day fee; (2) the WiFi cost $16/day unless you joined the Marriott club. Ive never had conditionally free WiFi; (3) parking was $73/day. In nyc recently, parking was $60; and (4) the tv had no ports for us to connect a PlayStation and the channels available must have been the cheapest package.

The location absolutely cannot be beat. It was so convenient to so many spots; right next door to the aquarium and harbor tours, a few minutes walk to Quincy Market & Faneuil Hall, and right next to a T stop. The hotel restaurant was very good and there is a Starbucks there for easy breakfast options on the way out. Any request we had was quickly responded to. Would highly recommend!

There is no lock on bathroom door which was weird.

The restaurant was pleasant for breakfast and evening meal. However, we were not trusted to pour our own orange juice and coffee. It seemed like everything was being monitored. Very strange as the cost for breakfast was quite expensive. Staff attitude was very different to our experience in New York. Staff were abrupt and unhelpful. We were put into a disabled room - but are able bodied. The disabled room was at the far end of the hotel from lifts. It did not make sense. We asked to change rooms and asked to be shown the alternative to the disabled room. We asked to leave our bags in the initial room while we checked out the alternative room. We were told that we had already been checked out of this room and had no option but to move to the new room.

The property itself was very good and in a useful location. The communication from the hotel was poor as we messaged to say we would be checking in after midnight due to our flight being cancelled and got no reply. This was quite worrying as our documentation said check-in closed at midnight, in fact this was not the case. We were also not told that a carnival / celebration would be taking place just outside the hotel one evening, which caused quite a bit of noise.

Very clean, beds and linens were excellent top quality. Shower was nice with two shower heads. Pool was nice, wish it had a hot tub but that's the only thing missing. Everything else was great. We were able to leave our bags with the concierge while we explored the city before heading back out on the 5:30 Ferry to Salem. All in all, an excellent adventure! We loved our stay here !! Rooms were clean , staff was helpful , great location!!

The daily resort fee is offensive. Charge for the room, and stop irritating me with additional fees.
