Super cozy and old fashioned feel but with rooms that have everything you need and more. Walking distance to Fenway Park. Parking was decent but you can’t ask for much when in a location like this so overall not a real problem.

Location was decent, staff was friendly. Constant noise even around 2am, people walking around the stairs, strong light from the parking lot, supposed to be white but yellow bed sheets, room cleaning was included in fees but for but came to left big black bag of trash in my room, long black hair strands on the bed. Generally towards the end of the stay I just wanted to leave asap.

Close to everything. Communal space and kitchen for longer stays. Safe parking too. Need better pillows ;-)

Fantastic location in the Brookline neighborhood, a short walk to so many places. This place has so much old world charm.

It was quiet and the place was antique/vintage feel. That I had to use the bathroom across the street from my room . Had to unlock and lock up when done.

Friendly staff, cleanliness of room, close location to Harvard Street landscape in front sitting area needs a lot of attention

Location was good Building is very old and in need of refurbishing. It smells old. No staff present at the time of our arrival. We were not sent late check in instructions by message nor by email. They post these instructions right at the vestibule entrance (not at the reception door), which is easily missed when you are entering with luggage and just trying to get through the 2 doors into the building). So we had to ask another guest how to access our room. I don’t find these acceptable as they could have simply sent us a message with the step by step. In our room the blinds were broken, the bedroom had a strong and excessive smell of air scents. The bed was small for 2 people (not queen sized, but full size mattress). The AC appliance was old and not functioning well, so it couldn’t keep the room at a steady temperature; it turns on and off in the middle of the night and it makes such a loud noise when turning on that it awakens you. So if you add a small bed with a malfunctioning and noisy AC, it is extremely hard to have a good night sleep. The bathroom is fine. Very small but renovated. And for me, to make matters worse, they charge extra for using their patio parking spaces. That’s of very bad taste; it would be kind to offer parking, specially for what they charge for the room. I invite the owner and their spouse to spend 2 nights at room 26, at a hot summer night. Maybe they will understand the need to offer the guests a better experience.

Parking, staff Door lock about to fall out of door, used nail gile to tighten.

  • Engine customer Jul 2026

Historic charm, location, value. Charging extra for parking

  • Engine customer Jul 2026

The price was a little high, and it would have been nice to have coffee already brewed in the morning but otherwise everything was wonderful!

  • Engine customer Jul 2026

Definitely felt more shabby and dinghy than I would expect, even for an old hotel. Mattress was one of the least comfortable I've slept on in a hotel.

Beautiful setting, comfortable room A little spooky

  • Engine customer Jul 2026

No elevator. Room on third floor. Charged for parking. Small room Uncomfortable bed.

  • Engine customer Jun 2026

I cancelled this reservation because the site was presented as accessible and it wasnot. My wife has severe arthritis both knees. She is 88 and I am 85. The hotel was going to put us in a room at the top of two flights of stairs with no elevator. My wife is incapable of climbin one full flight of stairs, We had to go to another Booking hotel half an hour's drive away, the Wyndham Hotel at 5 Blossom Street. I SHOULD NOT HAVE TO PAY A PENALTY FOR THIS CHANGE. THE PROPERTY WAS NOT AS CLAIMED.

The property was really clean and in a very good location. I did not how come as a guest with a car a still need to pay them for parking. We got the feeling as they see us they see money. Also the person that checked in was not nice at all.
