Beachfront Inn and Suites at Dana Point

The suite was amazing with the ocean view. Parking is good. Breakfast was okay.

i was disappointed with the cleanliness of my room, when i checked in, i found hair in the bathtub and the floor was dirty, on top of that the sofa bed had springs sticking out unbearable to sleep on

Staff was great , room and space was in good condition except bathroom was dirty and needs an upgrade , and of course it’s beach front access to the beach was impossible was not the best experience would not come back

Our room was in the middle of being cleaned upon our arrival - not a big deal, but odd since we checked in after the approved check-in time. Even after the cleaning was completed, there were hairs on the bathroom floor. One of the elevators was not working when I arrived, which meant I had to carry my suitcase up the stairs to the 3rd floor. I reported the issue to the desk and she assured me she would look into it. By the time we returned later that day, it was working again. However, all of the certifications and permits inside of both elevators were 5+ years old, which was a little concerning. Pull-out couch mattress was extremely uncomfortable and seemingly very old. Much of the bathroom could use some maintenance - peeling/moldy caulk, non-working overhead fan, broken tile.

First time staying at this property. From check in Frank was very friendly and professional. Room was very clean beds were one of the most comfortable I ever stayed in. Property was very well maintained.

Clean and offered continental breakfast, which made things a little bit easier as a mom of two. It was across the street from the beach super convenient.

The hotel is older, and there are a few things future guests should know. While located directly across from the beach, the hotel is separated by a busy street and the railroad tracks, so traffic and train noise are noticeable. The bed was firmer than I prefer, the sofa was low with flat cushions, and the bathtub had no grab bars or other safety features, which could be a concern for some guests. Overall, I’m glad I stayed here because the ocean view and balcony made for a relaxing getaway. This stay gave me exactly the peaceful retreat I needed.

The shower water never got hot, the shower drain didn’t drain and the bathroom smelled like sewer

The only positive experience we had was the helpfulness of the front desk person, KC. The room was very old. There were only three hangers in the one closet that was in the room. It was very dingy. There was no telephone in our room to call the front desk so we had to physically go there each time there was an issue the pullout bed/couch had the coils coming out was so uncomfortable. You couldn’t even sit on it yet alone sleep on it

Staff very friendly and helpful. Garage parking very good. Breakfast mediocre, but individual coffee service in lounge excellent. Room had only one chair and a high bed, making it impossible for two of us to be seated at the same time. That small detail made the stay uncomfortable and greatly reduced our enjoyment of the trip and opinion of the hotel.

We liked everything and will be back soon! Excellent getaway!

Staff, everyone that I had a chance to talked to were amazing.

I liked how easy the breakfast was quick and easy. The beach was right there and easy to get to. Also, that there were so many places to eat.
