Loved staying here! Me and my finance stayed here a night just because and we loved the location and property! The most beautiful getaway! The room, the patio, the Santal 33 as the soap, WOW! Loved it though would so stay here again!

and comfortable.

Charming old, but fully refurbished hotel. Immaculate grounds and rooms. We really enjoyed the porch over-looking the beach and Dana Point Harbor where we watched the sunset snuggled under the blanket provided for us. You have to understand that it is an old hotel, so the walls are thin, and you are right across the street from the train, which stops running after 9:00PM, but it's part of the charm. Loved the split doors where you could open the top and let the fresh air flood the room. Staff was very nice and helpful. We will certainly stay again.

I very nice place to stay in a great location across from the beach

A cool boutique hotel. Cool rooms and good location.

Unique hotel conveniently located across from the ocean. Very friendly and helpful staff!

The room was clean and looked great with beautiful tiles, especially in the bathroom. Noise is a problem with the adjoining room. I could hear everything just as if the doors were open, every cough, sneeze etc. I kept my voice down while on the phone because I didn’t want to disturb my neighbor. They only offer coffee and tea in the morning with some small pastries and the coffee was not for me. There was no restaurant as mentioned on Expedia and the beach near by was too rocky for me. I drove to Rose Cafe for breakfast and spent all my time in San Clemente beaches. Highly recommend both! I probably would not stay at this hotel in the future, just personal preference. I had hoped for a more comfortable stay.

But the true gem of this hotel is its manager Aldo, he is very professional, friendly, and accommodating. You can see that he is trying to get the most of this place, he helped us with all the request we had, even provided us with extra table and chairs, so our group of 5 could have food together outside in the patio. This hotel has small flaws, like every space, but for its price point and location you can’t find anything better. We will be happy to return here in the future :)

Beautiful place!!! Each staff member was super nice! I cant remember the last time I went to a hotel and didnt feel the need to "go through and clean everything before I use it". Everything didnt just look clean, it was clean!! If you like the sound of water and fire pits... check this place out for sure!

Walls are paper thin, you can clearly hear normal conversations or the TV being on in your neighbor’s room. A/C did not work in my room. Other than that room was comfortable and location is great.
-
Loved the patio and fire pit. Peaceful way to start and end the day sitting on the patio and listening to the waves crash along the beach.

When I arrived room was ready 40 minutes after check in, utilities in my room were not in good condition. Had to be careful using the restroom. Stood there one night but it being in bad condition was an issue. Only upside, great view but probably would not give this place another chance.

Good location, free parking, nice suite room. The staff checking in and dealing with needs very helpful, friendly and accommodating. TV in room not working - bad remotes and frames around tv prevented function. Moved to new room with no seating then back to original room. No phones in rooms, skimpy continental breakfast, office closed at night but security person there.

Beautiful location, luxurious room, renovated with absolute charm. However, the lights flickered all night long. Would still stay again.

My husband and I stayed this passed weekend and we just say we were so impressed with everything. From the minute we walked in the door the guy welcomed us right away with great dinner suggestions advised to let him know when we wanted our chimney turned out in the patio. We loved it and as locals this was a perfect get away because it felt cozy but the structure was beautiful we said we will be coming very often to just unwind.

Such a beautiful stay! The rooms are detailed and charming yet intentional and simplistic. The grounds are gorgeous. Staff are friendly and helpful. Can’t wait to return for another long weekend in paradise!

Cute spot! Right by the beach! Walking to the beach for an early morning stroll was the perfect start to the day.
