Capitola Hotel

Very clean, and a perfect location

A quaint hotel right smack dab in the middle of town…the free taxi to Shadowbrook was a plus! We walked everywhere which we appreciated as we enjoy a cocktail every now and then.

Exceptional

Right in the heart of Capitola. Free street parking pass. Back room probably more quiet than the front but the bands stop at around 10. No bands on Wednesday. The bed was comfortable. I slept in passed 7 which is not normal do me.. The folks were very helpful, arranging the Shadowbrook taxi for us. It’s a steep hill that we managed in the past but having the taxi was a blessing. They also tracked down a local market for us that sold the coffee they served for breakfast. Very pleasant people.

It's cozy and comfortable. I wish the parking is marked for the hotel so we didn't have to park at the paid parking.

Beautiful little place. So convenient being in the center of Capitola. Just wish they had parking dedicated to the hotel. Once we were able to find a spot we could use the parking pass they give you we didn't want to move the vehicle until we left. Other than that it was ideal. Would definitely stay again.

I like that it was located in the village you can park and pretty much walk everywhere. That is also why I didn’t like my stay parking was tricky when we got there the village was so crowded. But once it slowed down we were able to park closer. Also it’s pretty loud on a Saturday night didn’t bother us but I can see how it might bother lighter sleepers.

Service was excellent, especially Julie. I left my sunglasses in the room and she called me to confirm they were mine and then sent them to me. I received them quickly and they were packed with care. We were able to park right across the street with the parking pass from the hotel. We left our car there and walked everywhere, including to the Shadowbrook for dinner. We would definitely stay there again.

only wish street windows were doubled panes due to loud street noise at night.

A charming and very clean hotel in the perfect location. Easy access to all the restaurants and right across a street to the beach. Worth the money!

Such a relaxing stay. We will definitely be coming back.

Its a convenient location walking distance to the restaurants and stores. We stayed in the Bonaire Rm. Quiet, breezey, good light. Very comfortable bed and pillows. The staff was lovely, very knowlegeable and most helpful. The hotel provides parking placards for guests althought, parking during busy times, could be a bit of a challenge. The breakfast is continental and perhaps could be a little more robust.

Parking in this crowded beach town was very well organized!

Location is great close to shopping ..restaurants and the beach Window overlooked street which made for a lot of noise..all the delivery trucks stopping for the restaurants at 3 am and unloading woke us up every night - keep in mind windows are open because there is no air conditioning so you need the window and fan on

Our stay at this hotel was just upscale fabulous! We loved the location. The room was really nice. The staff was even more accommodating. We loved their Continental Breakfast offerings. This is definitely a future stay. So cozy!

Superb

The breakfast was good. The room was on the smaller size and the toilet area was a little tight, but the room was organized well and we didn't feel squished. We were happy with our stay and we would definitely return. The breakfast could be improved by offering a little more variety with fresh pastries and a greater variety of fruit.
