Capitola Hotel

Very nice place with clean comfortable rooms. Great location because it is across the street from the restaurants and the beach. The staff were very helpful and kind.

It was a very nice little located spot if you want to be right on the Esplanade of Capitola near the beach and decent restaurants.

Wonderful helpful staff, clean room, great smelling toiletries. I think there should be a little warning that they are located across from a bar with loud live music and next to an arcade. We had never been to Capitola so it was a little surprising. Other than that we enjoyed our stay.

The room was very clean and the AC is very cold. Love it. Prime location, only thing we didn’t like was we had to lug all of our things upstairs (no elevator) and the parking situation was AWFUL. We did not pay for the parking pass, and we figured we could get a spot on the strip but there was no parking available through the countless times I drove the circle around the strip until about 9pm. We arrived at 3:30. Ended up having to pay for parking a in a lot that was fortunately close by.

If you’re a light sleeper, use the ear plugs, early mornings are very noisy with deliveries across the street and the street cleaning.

Located in the center of the village, close to shops and restaurants. Staff were very helpful and let us check in early. They offered to arrange a free shuttle to the Shadowbrook. Secured garage parking worked well as parking in town is a challenge.

How can you have a Loading/Unloading zone for 3 minutes? It took me 15 minutes to get a parking permit from the hotel, and I already had a ticket on the windshield.

The staff was very nice and at first we thought the room was up to par for our taste. Upon waking the next day we found dirty underwear in the bathroom and left over beer cans on and behind the dresser. We had a talk with staff and they apologized with a bottle of Champagne.

Location good and bad. Close to everything but that includes bars that have live music unit late in the night. The ear plugs on the nightstand should have been a big clue If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway, this is not your hotel. Amenities were motel 6 quality.
