The Venetia could not have a better location. Right on the beach, a 2 minute walk to restaurants, shops and coffee. Iconic design and so much history. The units are old obviously but well maintained. We had a main bedroom, tiny private bedroom with a twin and a double in the living area. small kitchen if you prefer to have a cooking option. We chose an ocean view, and could see and hear the ocean over the front building (privately owned units). Night volleyball and beach strolls, a foot wash before entering. The bathroom was tiny and four of us had to take turns but again it is an old historic property. You are definitely paying for location and view over interior. I would stay again.

The location, although it was a little noisy, it was right in the heart of Capitola. The property is nostalgic, it is beautiful, great views, and right in the middle of things

Right by the beach literally 50 steps down to the beach. Rooms were quaint, old-fashioned beach, hut, vibe we had a kitchen didn’t use it very much, but it was amazing to have it, especially since we’re gonna come back next year with the kiddos. The showerhead seem to be in the wrong position, no matter which way we tried to turn it. The water kept spilling out on the floor.

It was extremely old and tired. Needed many updates.

We were so disappointed when workmen began making horrible noise at 8:00 am each morning. The parking lot was full of workmen trucks making it difficult to park in the the tiny spaces. Power tools, cutting etc was going on all day. Sleeping in and afternoon naps were ruined. 😔

Was such a great spot to stay. Right on the beach. We had a group right above us that were having a party so none of us could sleep because the buildings were a little outdated. Had to have windows open to stay cool and walk way and a giant metal gate were right outside which kept slamming all night. Place was great though. Fit my family. Just wish we could have slept and wish there was an attendant on site. Me and my wife would def stay here without kids again. Shops and everything were right outside.

When I arrived, I wasn’t able to reach anyone for almost an hour. I’m not sure if my phone number was being flagged as spam, but none of my calls were answered and I didn’t receive a response to my texts. Fortunately, when my husband called, his call was answered, and from that point on everything went very smoothly. Overall, we had a great stay. Just one important tip for future guests, don’t forget to complete your check-in 24 hours before arrival!

A lovely choice for right on the beach and walking to everything! Although our room had a full functioning kitchen there are no pots/pans/teakettle, or dishes. That would have been good to know ahead of time. Other than that our stay was amazing!!
-
We stay here often because it’s close to the beach and shops. The showers/sinks are a little outdated but we don’t care, the staff always makes sure the rooms are clean.

View Would like less strangers on our steps - so many tourists stopped and used our place as a backdrop for pictures. They were not staying at the property - just looky loows Did not like the parking - too tight

We really wanted to like this place, but we were disappointed with the condition of it all. Almost no outlets worked and it was not cleaned very well. Also, due to the proximity of this building to the village it was very hard to go to sleep at night as we heard loud music all night.

Just bring your own pots and pans or pay the extra money. I sit there a long time ago in pots and pans were available in the rooms. They still are with a fee.
