So close to the beach and a nice little shower to wash the sand off your feet. Love the touchless checkin flow and everyone is so nice.

Evelyn was great, she was so pleasant and understanding. She made everything so easy. Thank you Evelyn! Always nice to where people make it easy when you book a room.

Contactless check in was complicated and frustrating. The room had improved lighting but the bed was sagging and the pillows were hard and small. There was noisy remodeling going on above us. They now charge $20 for parking and use email to communicate. There's nobody there to talk to about any issues.

The location of the hotel is phenomenal, walking distance to restaurants, the beach shops everything you expect in a vacation

The pots and pans are not included in the property but can be rented if needed. We were surprised to see they had paper towels, dish soap, sponge and salt and pepper for use. The place was spacious enough for us and the location cannot be beat! Literally a few steps to the beach, made it easy to go out as many times as we wanted. We will definitely be back!

But our fireplace wasn’t working and the heater. It was a chilly night. That wasn’t a good thing.

This is the most amazing place to stay in capitola. Everything is walking distance. And the room was nice.

Kerrie was so sweet. The location is amazing. Everything was clean and comfortable. Would love a ceiling fan in 2nd bedroom for airflow.

The location It smelled like sewage and mold. False advertisement that there was a “full amenity” kitchen. We brought $200 in fresh food to cook and they only had 4 glasses. No utensils, no plates, no pots or pans. When asked they said it would be $50 to rent. That was never mentioned in the description. When I explained this to the front office they said the manager would not waive the fee. Even after sending a screen shot of the kitchen description. So customer service was bad. Our room had 30 yr old carpet that was moldy smelling, as well as the sofa and pillows. This neighboring units were all updated and clean. After going to dinner we came home to a sewage smell and had to open windows and doors to keep from throwing up. I was so embarrassed for my guest and her daughter, it was a birthday present and it was gross!

The Venetia could not have a better location. Right on the beach, a 2 minute walk to restaurants, shops and coffee. Iconic design and so much history. The units are old obviously but well maintained. We had a main bedroom, tiny private bedroom with a twin and a double in the living area. small kitchen if you prefer to have a cooking option. We chose an ocean view, and could see and hear the ocean over the front building (privately owned units). Night volleyball and beach strolls, a foot wash before entering. The bathroom was tiny and four of us had to take turns but again it is an old historic property. You are definitely paying for location and view over interior. I would stay again.

The location, although it was a little noisy, it was right in the heart of Capitola. The property is nostalgic, it is beautiful, great views, and right in the middle of things

Right by the beach literally 50 steps down to the beach. Rooms were quaint, old-fashioned beach, hut, vibe we had a kitchen didn’t use it very much, but it was amazing to have it, especially since we’re gonna come back next year with the kiddos. The showerhead seem to be in the wrong position, no matter which way we tried to turn it. The water kept spilling out on the floor.

It was extremely old and tired. Needed many updates.

We were so disappointed when workmen began making horrible noise at 8:00 am each morning. The parking lot was full of workmen trucks making it difficult to park in the the tiny spaces. Power tools, cutting etc was going on all day. Sleeping in and afternoon naps were ruined. 😔

Was such a great spot to stay. Right on the beach. We had a group right above us that were having a party so none of us could sleep because the buildings were a little outdated. Had to have windows open to stay cool and walk way and a giant metal gate were right outside which kept slamming all night. Place was great though. Fit my family. Just wish we could have slept and wish there was an attendant on site. Me and my wife would def stay here without kids again. Shops and everything were right outside.
