Fairfield Inn & Suites Santa Cruz - Capitola

Great hotel. The rooms are smaller than it looks in the pictures but overall the staff were all amazing. They really made our stay fantastic. It’s cleans and organized and well maintained.

We only stayed one night, but had a great experience and would visit again. Near the Santa Cruz Boardwalk after a short drive. Quiet area with a clean, updated hotel and secured parking. We did not try the breakfast but it was great to have as an option.

Clean and a perfect location!

The room was clean. The bed and the sofa bed were both comfortable. My family enjoyed the pool and the breakfast. Overall. We loved our stay and would stay there again.

The building is new. You can smell it. The stuf is friendly. I definitely recommend it.

Room 314 was big, clean, quiet & had nice view into a good neighborhood. Fridge & shower worked well. Beds were comfortable though a tad soft. Alex at the front desk was super nice & helpful. Her recommendations for dinner were very good. Parking was free & easy. Breakfast (6-10AM) was good. Housekeeping staff were very nice. I had no problem going directly to them in the mornings to get whatever I needed: exchange towels, more toilet paper or soap, Kleenex, etc. Location is good if you have a car, otherwise Capitola Beach & Village is a 25-minute walk away. It’s not far, but I was under the impression that this was a “beach hotel.” No matter. We had a car. And to tell the truth, after you spend a half-day in Capitola Beach, drive to the other nearby beaches. They are beautiful, have more & cheaper parking (Some are free.), and are less than 30-minute drive away. Our favorite beach this stay was Natural Bridges State Beach, though Lighthouse Beach was also cool for watching surfers. Lots of shopping & places to eat nearby. Whole Foods grocery store also nearby. FYI: Sofa-bed can fit only 1 adult or 2 smaller children. Since we were only 5 adults, we were fine. Also, room cleaning is only on request. Since we were only there 3 nights, we didn’t need any cleaning.

Location was good hotel is newer Lighting in the bathroom could be better. Also hotel should think about getting small Keurig with the K cups in the rooms instead of the 1990s small coffee pot also perhaps liquid creamer instead of the powder stuff breakfast was great hotel is clean beds are comfy.

This hotel is very nice. It may seem away from any special beach views, but you are a easy 20 walk to the Capitola village and a easy 7 minute walk to the beach. Especially one of the best surf beaches off of 41st. We had a suite which was quite large. We had a pull out love-seat that slept one and two comfy queens. There may be two minor complaints, the room was a bit dark and the pillows were flat and kinda hard. But seriously, very modern, updated decor, the secure parking garage, the friendly staff, the included morning breakfast, the pool, gym, location, etc. were all excellent. We will definitely stay here again.

Great breakfast

An excellent hotel, very good value for families. Roughly 480 sq ft per room which is spacious enough. The balcony was a great addition. Breakfast was very good. We enjoyed our stay here
