Quality Inn & Suites Capitola By the Sea

Very good

This place was in a nice quiet area. Check-in was easy. Water pressure was good. Place was very clean and smelled good. No hassle parking and included a breakfast. Just lower your expectations for breakfast it's basically coffee, juice toast and waffles. Don't expect eggs or bacon/sausage. It's good to hold you over until you get a real meal. Wifi was good and overall place was good.

The staff were friendly with a great location with breakfast. It’s a non smoking property had a problem with people smoking below me, the staff was no it right away. The TV was having problems coming in and out.

Really liked the way the architect of the building so the there were only 1 room on either side at any given time. Love the full mini fridge, microwave and coffee maker. It is getting more difficult to have these amenities even at rooma that cost significantly more. The hotel location was just a little away from the main road so it is nice and quiet while still walkable to a local store. Beat of all, the sheets were so niiiiice and the bed firmness was perfect. We very much enjoyed the sat at the Capitola Comfort Inn and will definitely stay again given the opportunity. Could have loved some scramble eggs for breakfast.

Quite location. The breakfast is poor - nothing except cereal and cheap toasts with smuckers. The staff weren't welcoming. Upon arrival, we waited over 30 minutes for the receptionist (arrived at 4pm). When she finally appeared, she didn't even apologize and suggested I should call by phone if I would needed anything. The restroom in the lobby was disgusting and hadn't been cleaned all day. The hotel overall smells and looks outdated.

Buildings not in good shape. My room had mildew and the door latch was loose so I moved a table to block entry each night.

Comfortable bed and fairly large room. Breakfast was very basic with no protein options.

I really liked the location. It’s close to CVS, Starbucks, and a supermarket, but just far enough from the beach and bars to get a good night’s sleep. The reception staff were very nice and welcoming, and the free breakfast was a nice bonus.

Location Overpriced and Outdated. Stayed in an outside room. The door to the room didn’t seem secure. Someone could knock it down easily. Not many breakfast options.

Unfortunately, too many small things added up. We found a hair in the toilet, and the basket of oranges at breakfast had fruit with obvious white mold growing on it. That was especially concerning. The shower was extremely slippery with no anti-slip mat, and I had to ask twice before receiving one. The cloth shower curtain also leaked water onto the floor, requiring extra towels. The blackout curtains didn't fully cover the window, allowing a bright parking-lot light into the room all night. The HVAC worked but was loud, and the cable TV was frustratingly laggy. The room was small with no practical place for two people to eat or play a game, and the chair had what looked like a burn hole. There was also nowhere in the shower to put the provided bar soap. The property was generally maintained, but exterior cobwebs and a stairwell that needed better cleaning were noticeable. Being dated doesn't bother me. Cleanliness, maintenance and comfort do. For a Sunday/Monday stay, I felt the price was too high for the overall quality. It wasn't a bad stay, but there were too many preventable issues for us to return.

Large comfortable room and bed. Coffee and tea available 24/7. Nice light breakfast included. Excellent value. Nothing

We enjoyed the free shuttle to Shadowbrook Restaurant. Our only negative comment would be that even for my wife and I at 6-ft tall, the king bed seemed a bit high from the floor.

Got triple charged for the stay once from booking and twice from the hotel bad experience
