Best Western Carlsbad by the Sea

There was an odor that I had to keep bathroom fan on for, as the room was across from pool, I didn’t want to change rooms. We are also by the ocean, stuff will smell…Other than that, the property was great! Pool and spa were excellent as well

The breakfast was great, as well the availability of the coffee machine all throughout the day was sweet. The continually check up made the stay that much more.

This room was on top of the freeway so very noisy. The other side of the property is recommended.

The carpets in the rooms are dirty. It would be good if they were removed or replaced.

Great

I liked the pool. The first room I was assigned couldn’t be opened so I had to switch rooms. The new room had ants in the bathroom and some of the outlets didn’t work.

Free parking. Pleasant reception and cleaning staff. The rooms are cleaned almost daily. Good sized pool. The building is old and shows signs of disrepair. The room has a musty smell likely from the carpet. The breakfast dining area is not properly ventilated so your clothes absorb the kitchen smell. Scrambled eggs are very salty. The pool needs a good cleaning.

The Manager Ben is so RUDE! He should not work with the public. Re needs to be reprimanded by the way he speaks to his guests. As a Manager, Ben is not public relations quality

The ice machines did work and the hot tub was large. The carpet in the room smelled bad. Worn furniture and old mattresses. Hopefully they remodel it so it looks like the photos someday.

First night, horrible. Key didn’t work. Room got. Bathtub leaking. Staff was always nice though.

Great location close to beach

The room was clean, the breakfast was delicious, and the pool area was phenomenal. Short staffing did cause delays in housekeeping. The beds are pretty uncomfortable, and I've only ever had a problem with one other mattress in my life.

Location Freeway noise

The staff was good Right next to the freeway Feels like a motel 6 with a good mattress

Staff was great! The room however had a strong odor because of the humidity.

They were very nice it’s very cool. The pool was fantastic.

Our room was clean and relatively quiet. As we were traveling with our older child, we appreciated the layout with beds in separate rooms, each with a bathroom and with the kitchen and seating area in the middle. The pool was great with adequate seating around the pool. The hot breakfast was good with some gluten free options. The front desk and cleaning staff were pleasant and helpful. Would stay here again.
