Motel 6 Carlsbad, CA Beach

There were spiders and webs all over the room. They didn’t want to give us an extra towel (we were 4 people with 2 towels) the cleaning staff were very friendly and sweet but the office staff had attitudes for no reason. Do not recommend.

Room was clean but tiny, pillows were pretty well ran down and misshaped. Wasn’t terrible for the price wouldn’t stay there again on first choice

I didn’t stay even one night here the room smelled like cat pee, the staff here was very helpful and tried to fix the issue but to no succes so I had to go to another hotel because the hotel was full it was a holiday weekend

The bathroom door got stuck the first night we stayed

I’ve always liked staying here. It’s always been a great stay and nostalgic for me. We would stay here again

There were cigarette burns on the top sheet of the bed. Room smelled of cigarettes and pets. People hanging out, outside rooms. Towels and flannels were of the lowest quality. Soaps were of the lowest quality. Microwave, dirty. Everything is wrong about this property, and it's obvious that there are people actually living at the property. You even have to request to have your room cleaned and ask for replacement towels! For over $500 for 3 nights? Never again!

Sketchy is an understatement. First they gave me the key for a room that was occupied. God forbid I walked in on the occupants or worse. I cant imagine if they gave my room key to someone else. Water heater wasn't working. Room was disgustingly dirty. Stains everywhere, sheets and pillows and floor. Extremely shady characters rooming the area and parking lot. Definitely will never stay there again even if they pay me.

It was totally my fault for trying to save a little money but parking lot was riddled with used syringes and “adult” movement happening at night. Pictures of the room were spot on but there was hair left on bathroom floor and cobwebs everywhere. It was a short walk from the beach. But didn’t feel comfortable staying there with littles so checked out early and ate the cost.

Everything was dirty in the room. Things were falling apart. Mold was on the air-conditioning vent. The screen was falling off so I couldn’t open the window. The toilet seat was falling off. We reserved a non-smoking room and just a suggestion you don’t get it if you reserve it. So they gave us the last room they had which was a smoking room that was falling apart. You couldn’t even latch the door locked. We slept in our clothes because everything was so dirty. You needed to ask for towels there was no bath towels in the room.

Staff members were taking with each other, and I had to wait to check in. The room was clean, however the wifi was poor, with the internet connection rarely worked. I will not return to this Motel 6.

Awful, they don’t clean the rooms until you check out. They said we had to come get our towels at front desk and make our beds because there was no housekeeping on the weekends. Yet they had plenty of staff on the premises. The one cleaning lady spent 2 days on the same room.

It was clean room and decent for the price. Our stay was a bit noisy and very basic. Beds were comfortable. Parking was accessible.

Used soap, hair in the bathroom

This had to been the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. First day there was a cockroach in the refrigerator. The floors were black I wore socks they were completely black on the bottom. Let the staff know about the roach in the refrigerator, they told me it’s been a problem and that they like area with water. I ask for a refund and they told me I would have to go through Expedia. We stayed the second day which would be our last. My wife picks up her suitcase and there was about a 3 inch roach one the the biggest one I gave seen that was under her suit case. We should have left the first night. We ended up booking another hotel. Had to through away all fruit and open groceries which was about 100 dollars. I never write reviews and I have stayed at many budget hotels and understand that price will reflect, this was just horrible.
