Best Western Plus Beach View Lodge Carlsbad

Breakfast was very good.

Location was great and it was nice and clean, cute, quiet and nice deck with coffee and tea. The deck looks out to the ocean. The breakfast food tasted like frozen/ microwave fake food. But the selection and amount was good. The air conditioner in our room was soooo loud we could sleep. It was hot and stuffy.

No fan in the bathroom shower so it was humid even with the small top window fully open. Consider installing one.

Love the location and the price!

The sunset view deck is INCREDIBLE. You are literally steps from the ocean. The property is older, but they've done a decent job with remodeling. Feels more motel-ish than hotel-ish, and it's pricey, but you are paying for the location, not the amenities. The staff was stellar, the beds were comfortable, and the complimentary breakfast was better than I anticipated. Solid 4 stars, with the view being the showstopper.

I just stayed at the Carlsbad Village Best Western and it was an absolutely delightful experience. The location is superb! it was lovely to have my coffee on the upstairs outdoor terrace, with a front-row seat for ocean viewing. The staff is helpful and friendly. My bed was very comfortable and I had plenty of clean towels. I plan to stay here in the future when I visit my son. So glad I found this gem!

Enjoyed all aspects of my stay. Wouldn't change a thing - except maybe for instructions on how to use the TV! Everything else was all good.

Tee rooms were very clean and the staff there was fantastic. Everyone was very polite and helpful. It's nice to see and experience this level of customer service these days. So many other places make you feel like it's a privilege that you stay there. Here you feel very welcome and you clearly get the feeling they are interested in serving you. Highly recommended.

Location.

Great location, but we couldn’t enjoy the fire pit with the ocean view because we were told that area was closed in the evening. That is a big draw to the hotel, and an amenity we were unable to enjoy.

The room was clean and the breakfast was really good. The location was right across from the beach entrance too.
