Staff was friendly and very helpful. The location was great. Short walk to the beach, restaurants and shops. Plenty to see and do.

Great location. Staff (Andrew) was awesome!

Property provided complimentary beach supplies (toys, boogie board, chairs, and umbrella). Several families with kids were staying while my family stayed. The property remained quiet and clean. Breakfast was hot and delicious. Views were nice. Parking was tight if you had a bigger vehicle.

Our third time staying here and we will come back.

My stay was for three nights, which I understand they don’t change sheets every day but I thought they would at least come in and make the bed and pick up dirty towels and take the trash out!

It's a small hotel with a great deck to sit and see the ocean! Rooms and suites are wonderful!

The place is clean. The staff is friendly. The rooms are your typical hotel rooms. Here is my issue. Parking is incredibly tight, carport type structure under the rooms. You get a parking pass but have to find open parking, which for some reason can be tough. I usually end up parking far away from my room but some don't mind the walk, others with children will disagree. I drove a MINI Van. MINI. I could only have family get out on one side because the space is so narrow to park. Oh well, nothing to be done about that. Last time I stayed here I parked in the street because I had a full size SUV. The only other issue I had was they have a balcony overlooking the Pacific Ocean. Great views and they use a fire pit to make it even nicer. The fire pits get turned off at 10:00 PM, I understand, sucks, but I understand. The problem I had was the entire deck closes at 10:00 PM. As much as we pay for the view, we can only enjoy it until 9:59 pm on a FRIDAY night of all nights. Now, I've stayed in the rooms that lead out to the deck and there have been people drinking and having a great time. I've never heard a peep once I closed my door. Noise isn't a factor, I know from experience and being a light sleeper. Imagine paying that much for a room with a view from across the street to the Pacific and you can only enjoy it until 9:59 PM. The staff tried to explained when I questioned and I was nice and said, it's not your policy, no worries. I'll just walk across the street to the beach. Ug

The location is great for a Carlsbad Hotel.

The location is good. The food. Not good.

Unfortunately, the experience was disappointing in a few important ways. Upon check-in, I was informed that parking at the property was sold out and that I would need to find street parking. In such a congested beach area, this was extremely inconvenient and stressful, especially while dealing with an injured foot (walking boot) and carrying luggage. Street parking was very difficult to find, and I ended up having to walk quite a distance while also worrying about the safety of my rental car overnight. The biggest disappointment, however, was the “ocean view” room itself. The room had a window with shutters facing mostly palm trees, with virtually no visible view of the ocean or beach. I truly feel the room description was misleading and did not match what was advertised. The staff was polite, and I understand some things may be outside their control, but I do think the hotel should be more transparent about both parking limitations and what qualifies as an ocean view room. With clearer expectations, guests could make a more informed decision before booking.

The hotel was right across the street from the beach and within easy walking distance to a variety of restaurants. Very helpful and pleasant staff.
