Tamarack Beach Resort Hotel

The beach right across the street and they have hot tubs and very nice pristine pool to enjoy. the location was perfect we could walk any where into town for dinners and shopping. We keep coming back, so I cant think of anything we didnt like.

The location was amazing! The hotel had several areas of concerns. The WiFi was awful and the refrigerator made too much noise. Breakfast was ok but too short 9:30 last call for breakfast.

You can't go wrong if you choose Tamarack Beach Resort. The staff is so amazing. I had an emergency at home which required me to cut my stay short and the staff took care of it and my credit showed up immediately on my card. The resort is clean and the landscaping is beautiful. Whether you choose a ocean or an inside pool view, you cannot go wrong. It is just across the street from the beach and there is a restaurant right next door. Make a reservation and enjoy all Carlsbad has to offer!

Breakfast was included in our stay. Great choices. Fresh fruit and breads. Great coffee. Our room was on the first floor and overlooked the pool. Landscaping was well maintained thru-out the resort. Hotel was located directly across the street from the beach and a 5 minute walk to downtown Carlsbad. We enjoyed our stay very much! N/A

The views are great A little outdated

The room was wonderful and clean. You can tell it's an older property because they had a DVD player in the room with DVD's to rent up front. The breakfast was good - but limited in options. The staff were very friendly and helpful with the area. We had an interior room with a view of the pool - felt the cost was more than room was worth, but it was safe and clean. The property is also a time-share situation so lots of families - especially with kids. So pool and hot tub were constantly filled with teens and kids. You can't beat the location though - right across the street from the ocean and close to Carlsbad Village. It's a solid B+ property

All the staff were great & very friendly and the location was incredible. Our room was spacious and had a large patio overlooking the ocean. The hotel room could use some updates, but it was pretty clean and the people and location made up for the dingy finishes, old tv and the bathroom pocket door that occasionally jammed, trapping my husband inside until I could help him put it back on its track. Brought me to tears, I laughed so hard. The breakfast was another highlight. All in all, a very enjoyable stay

We love this hotel ! The room faced the ocean & we enjoyed the patio for morning coffee & evening sunsets ! The room is very clean. We also enjoyed the white robes ! Walking to the beach is so easy as well as restaurants & bars! My only complaint would be the toilet paper holder when a new roll needs to be put on . The holder doesn't allow the paper to roll around freely. Such a minor complaint. Everything else is wonderful! You won't regret staying here! Its our favorite hotel in Carlsbad .

The resort was comfortable, clean, and made for a relaxing getaway. Being able to park the car and enjoy the area on foot made our weekend stress-free and enjoyable. We would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone looking for a convenient beach vacation

The Tamarack Beach Resort was wonderful! Very clean with a friendly staff. Our room was perfect with comfortable mattress and nice bedding. The room was big with extra chairs and tables. We will definitely return!

We enjoyed our stay. Our room was excellent and the hotel grounds were lovely. The location is excellent right across the street from the beach and walking distance to the village.

This is a great place to stay for the price and beautiful ocean patio view! The staff is incredibly nice and helpful. You are within walking distance to the village and across the street from the beach. There is a rec room also that is pretty fun if you have kids or teens. It seemed to always be in use. Pool is a little tired, but fantastic, if you don’t feel like being at the beach. I don’t think I’ve ever stayed anywhere with such a smiley staff!

Property is perfectly located.....near beach...near beach style food....Knock Out Pizza....Boards and Brews.....Better Buzz Coffee....Strawberry Shack.....etc

The view was amazing! The staff was so attentive and helpful. Perfect location. This was my 2nd stay. I will be back.

There are a lot of places to eat close by so not the end of the world but definitely didn’t meet expectations.
