Tamarack Beach Resort Hotel

Clean rooms, attentive service, and a nice pool area. The televisions in the rooms were a bit old school, but they functioned fine and let's be honest I didn't come to Carlsbad to watch TV anyway! Overall great amenities.

The property is very nicely maintained and the pool area welcoming and tropical. The views of the beach are the highlight of the property , especially from the upper terrace. The front desk was efficient but didn’t feel like he was overly eager to answer questions. Overall a pleasant stay. The proximity to the beach…amazing

Close to the beach and restaurants. Staff were friendly, room was clean and we love our waffle lady Adalida she has a great personality always smiling and welcoming.

Loved this place! So easy, nice, and clean. The pool and hot tub are perfect. The beach is beautiful, couldn’t really swim there because high surf, but nice to sit on the patio and hear the waves. Car noise isn’t bad. The breakfast was good - sausage, bacon, eggs, and waffles. Kids loved the rec room!! Free parking also appreciated!

Great hotel and a great location right across the street from the beach. The under ground parking was great, and I love the 3pm check in time. Staff was friendly, and the rooms were nice. Would stay here again!

This is our second time staying here and the first time was an absolute joy… this time not so much :( we booked a queen room as we did last time but this time the room was extremely small, I was even told it is there smallest unit but they were completely sold out so I couldn’t do much about it. The sink was literally falling off the wall as well as the towel rack and some gross looking splatters of I’m not sure what in a few places of the bathroom… the property itself is clean and a great location.

Very clean and friendly staff The gate at the stairs would be better if it had a card reader to return that way instead of going all the way around in the lobby covered in sand.

The room was clean. I didn't like the pocket door to the bathroom. It kept getting stuck. The staff was very nice and accommodating. The breakfast wasn't great. Not much selection there. The rooftop view was beautiful. On the whole, it was a good hotel for a good price.
