Ocean Palms Beach Resort

Very nice and perfect location

Property was quiet. We didn’t get a chance of o use the pool but the ocean is literally steps away. Beautiful view. Parking is not the best but proximity to the beach made it worth the price.

Although the room was very clean, (with room service everyday), it's definitely dated. Kitchen decor was nice with up-to-date appliances. Ah, the not so good, Old style step in bathtub with a nonadjustable shower head in which the water pressure threatened to rip one's skin off. (How much would an adjustable shower head set these people back?.........hello?). While you're at it, add in soft closure toilet seat covers. (I accidentally dropped it in the middle of the night, it sounded like an explosion, definitely woke my wife). This was the epitome of dated. While the appearance of the living room bedroom cabinets give the illusion of rustic chic, the drawers jam, opening and closing, frustrating. The cabinets also gave us pause in wanting to put our clothes in them. If none of this would bother you, then definitely good place to stay for you and your family. Last comment, we were there in the mid September and yet finding parking was a challenge. Bottom line, would we stay there again, no.

Super friendly staff, very clean and full of extras. So close to the ocean and the incredible walkable town of Carlsbad.

We stay here annually and are never disappointed. It is all about the location. While the beach was eroded from recent storms it was still enjoyable and we will return next year. The staff is always friendly and property is well maintained and just about any restaurant is within walking distance.

The rooms are clean and ample. The grounds are beautiful and location was everything we needed. Our whole stay revolved around being in Carlsbad so we were able to walk to everything!! There was no blow dryer or microwave in the room. A huge "beetle" or roach got into our bathroom one night and i about flipped out having to kill it. :( I did not enjoy the mattress much. Very hard and very bouncy.

I cannot say enough good things about this place!! Excellent location and excellent Polynesian vibe!! Love it!

Right next to the beach the staff was great and always helpful. We used the boogie boards umbrellas and chair everyday. Thanks!

Great location, friendly staff, and lovely property. There’s all kinds of little nooks and crannies to chill on this property. Also, the hotel is pet friendly which I a huge bonus for this area as a lot of hotels in the area aren’t. I’ll definitely be coming back!

The beach chairs, umbrella and towels are a great benefit for enjoying the beach. We didn't use our car at all during our stay as everything is close & very walkable. Parking can be difficult with only a few parking spaces in the resort. Parking on the street was not too bad even on the weekend, it just takes a little patience. We will definitely be back!

Visiting family great place to stay. So close to beach

great location, pretty grounds, not too crowded, comfortable bed, friendly front desk staff. Small details- it would be nice to have milk sold at the little store there or provided in the morning for coffee. No side tables at the pool so awkward with book/drink etc.

We stayed a single night with our 4 sons (10, 18, 19, 21) and had a great time! We were able to walk to local shops, restaurants, and the beach. Having free access to their beach equipment (surfboards, boogie boards, beach towels), outdoor showers, putput golf, free parking were amenities that set them apart from the rest! While breakfast was very basic, we do plan to stay there again in the future because of its convenient location and being walkable to anything you might need.

Fantastic holiday resort right on the beach. The staff were really friendly and helpful. Renting towels and surf boards for free was brilliant

Right across the street from the beach and easy walk to many restaurants and Handel's Ice Cream. Room was clean and staff were nice. Hot tub was out of service during our stay.

Location Needs to be updated. Cockroaches in room everything in room that you touch just feels really dirty.
