The staff were cordial There were spiders bees ants and small flying insects in my room. Also, no door sweeps

Initially that it was close to the beach The room was disgusting! Pet and people hair all over the place! Stained sheets with heaven knows what! The door was open when we arrived so flies buzzing all about! The absolute worst customer service and In expecting my refund in full as we did not even stay at the property!

Location is good. Staff was kind and helpful. It is an old property that is “trying” - fine for a night or two stay - in & out!

Helpful and friendly staff. Nothing fancy, but great location, very close to downtown.

I would think holding one small suitcase for a guest seems like a pretty basic courtesy. Unfortunately, that interaction left me feeling there was very little consideration for customer service.

Location, how Clean the room was. There were white shutter in the room and they were even extremely clean. The room we had was very large, had a full size stove and fride and sink. The Bathroom was nicely upgraded and Very clean.

No tv for staying in the City of Carlsbad it was very disappointing. Customer service and cleanliness of the room

For the price and the location it's a great bargain! Scandia Motel is conveniently located across from the park and right behind that is the beach! Also very close to the main center and hub of Carlsbad. Walkable distance! It's older and worn...

I walked in and it was the smelliest, dirtiest place I had ever walked into. A flat sheet on the bed with a sagging 4 inch mattress only. Bedspread covering this bed had holes in it and sticky with dirt. No closet to hang your clothes and definitely a fleas bag MOTEL!!! Surrounding grounds were old and un kept. They must be putting their own comments about how nice it is. Ants on the floor. I left and went to a nice hotel and bathed.

1 bed was noise springs when sitting to sleeping rolling over. Other bed was better, we slept on that one. No coffee maker, no microwave it did have a mini fridge for our water and meds. The outside was looking like up keep probably was needed. Location was great for walking and easy from the busy area to find and park. For the price it was OK, no worse or better than a motel 6.

Amazing location and cute place. The sheets aren’t fitted and the mattress was not clean.
