Days Inn by Wyndham Carlsbad

Regarding the hotel itself, it’s good, not great. The location is perfect for Legoland and food, and is on the lower end for pricing in the area, which is why we chose it. No regrets. The room was very clean, although on the small side and oddly spaced out, with the bathroom at the front, then a long hallway to the room itself. The room was very basic, with basic amenities.. mini-fridge, microwave, small table, small desk and chairs .. but no coffee pot. The internet didn’t work for the tv, so we couldn’t use it for our whole stay, and the wifi only worked the first night, not the second. The lighting is definitely lacking, with one ceiling light off to the corner side of the room, and two bedside lamps that only provide light to the nightstands themselves. There is a small pool, which does not go very deep and is pleasantly warm. The parking is a bit sketchy, a tight squeeze unless you go around back. The proximity to the freeway makes it very noisy all night long. All in all, It was good enough for our stay, without costing too much. And again, the young lady at the front made all the difference. The grumpy older man on the night shift would not have sold us on this place.

We chose this location because it is close to Legoland. Reasonably priced and had good reviews. Rooms are clean, spacious, and odor free.

Rooms should have been cleaner. Dirty rag left in my room. Smart TV did not work. Room next door kept their TV blaring all night even after the office was notified multiple times.

Absolutely over priced for the way the hotel is but we made it work. Hotel definitely needs some upgrades

Clean room and the staff was very attentive.

Management (the owner Serena) avoided me. She had her office staff contact me but did not want to talk to me Over the phone. They proposed that I be given Days Inn tokens to resolve the issue. When I told them I don’t want that they said I had already been given the tokens and that it could not be reversed. They never apologized for the unsanitary conditions. I do not recommend this place.

No issues for me, hotel got the job done. Staff was friendly. Was able to check in 2-3 hours before the check in time.

Very nice staff, location Toilet did not work in first room, facility is older, open courtyard, has "older" look and smell on the outside, as well as inside

The downside is the property is right next to the freeway. Very noisy. No real amenities. Room was clean and fine.

Room and common areas were clean. What sets this place apart from other budget stays though is the staff. They were ALL friendly, polite, and helpful. You could tell the staff there take pride in their work.

That staff was really really nice and the room was really clean. The rooms have refrigerators and microwaves.

Perfect stay!

The "breakfast" was a small pre-packaged pastry. My kids went to get one at 9:28 and were told it was too late because breakfast ends at 9:30. The lady had already put them away and couldn't be bothered to grab a couple for my kids. The pool is tiny and is right off the highway. I can't see anybody wanting to use it. I would not stay here again.

The room was plain and dirty. There were hairs on the bathtub and on the sink in the bathroom. The bed squeaked and was not very comfortable. There were 2 sheets and no comforter on the bed. The room smelled like sewer and there were not any amenities.

The location was excellent for legoland n close to restaurants Nothing

The room was nothing special but it was extremely clean. There was coffee available to guests in the morning, parking was good, and all in all we enjoyed our stay there. There was no carpet which I loved!

Room wasn't ready 2 hrs after check in time. No fan in the bathroom.

A very pleasant experience, easy access, clean and friendly staff. I found a new home when I sat in San Diego.
